Worldbuilding to fit Characters, or Characters to fit the rest of the World?

I'm not sure whether I start with characters or setting. Sometimes I create lot of lore, some basic story premise and then I start writing characters. Usually, I don't define them too strictly as their dialogue lines give them their personality. It doesn't work all the time and often I do it differently.
But I don't have so many gam mak exps to react objectively.

RMN Review Club

I wanted to sum up my thoughts several days ago already, but I was too lazy to do so. Still, pretty much everything was said before either be Suna or Liberty or Marrend.
There were things I didn't like from the beginning. Like the story. There is nothing to pursue, not a single interesting characters, there are no dialogues as you don't speak. And It's kinda dull. Having robots is a poor excuse for having more members in your party. But at the beginning you play as it was single character party as Elza is weaker than Justin Bieber in Autumn (I played as a tinker). Fights are all one round too long. They have no reasons to last so long as they are plain boring.
And what ruined my enjoyment from mapping was finding my way to the third board. I had to open the guide to do so. It simplified my further progress in reading of the manual.
I liked the game for a while, but then It lost my respect. I think that part in Dark forest (first and second board) is only playable a completed one. There is not so many hidden objects later and Forest's mapping is outstanding. I liked puzzles I got across too (but as soon as I opened the guide I did solve them with its guidance).

Sorry for being late, I will be better reviewer next time.

Police shoots man in the back

If someone thinks Cameras can be our defense, future proves them wrong. They may stop some injustice, but they can serve it as well.
If we are not yet, In few years we will be so monitored, that you won't be able to do anything without government knowing.

Nice research, Piano. Some of these examples are dreadful events. I've always adored many things about America, but manners of police have never belonged amongst them.

[Poll] Let's Write... series

Mo won't be. I've just wanted to point out, how some games work with certain themes which are greater than life and do so without anyone realizing how big it really is. There are often massacres, massive destruction of both nature and civilization. It's kinda strange how these themes are detached from real life and so they don't feel so severe.
However police brutality, injustice, racism, sexism, that is something what can happen to anyone. It's on personal level and so it seems darker to us. If you want to show brutality of some event, you wouldn't say that thousands of thousands died. You would choose one story. It would be probably story of young poor girl, struggling to survive.
It's thought which doesn't belong to this debate, I just had it on my mind and so started it writing, but then I realized I don't want to do so and stopped. It's nature of my thinking sometimes. I'm always changing what I want to say in the middle of sentence or comment, cuz I'm getting new ideas what i want to talk about all the time.

Sitting on chairs is for losers.

I prefer you to stand on it (on the chair).

ugghhhhh, everything I want requires *effort*

It's unfair. And It's worse. Even things, I don't want, require effort, so I can actually put more effort in achieving the wanted.

Honestly, it's going to get dark. Some planned themes include rape, suicide, destruction of self, murder, torture, smut and a whole host of other nasty stuff. You have been warned.

Will be world destruction by a overlord included? I can't imagine anything darker then classic fantasy themes.

I just want to warn you that these dark themes are not lived by most of us (with exception of self destruction, some call it gammak) and so can be approached ruthlessly by someone. But that's not what it really is about, is it? How often was rape taken lightly in films and so? And I luv Rape-revenge genre myself, so you know what you can expect from me. With zillion of grammatical mistakes.
What I'm trying to express is that these lighter themes can end up being written in more serious tone, because people actually lived them through.

Anway It seems as an interesting idea and I would like to participate.

I had the same number of posts as unity. Does that mean we're secretly the same person?

You actually went public about it with this post.

What I meant was, that with the change of name, Ljink would make such an obvious reference, that he wouldn't need to justify himself. Everyone knows there is some Dragon Quest and even tho I haven't played it or that I don't know it's play with accents, I would know this part is not meant to be offensive, but the reference.

Edit: My problem wit the screenshot is that it doesn't sound like chinglish.

Don't RMN me, cuz I'm close to the edge.

Just good ol' Flash and The Five
