Windows XP users, looks like we just got tossed into the sea.

There is no worse shit on the market than Windows Vista or 7. On no other operating systems have I ever gotten blue screen of death on a brand, fucking, new computer every other day. My big gaming computer with its 10 gigs of RAM and terabyte of storage is four years old, has run XP the whole time, and has even survived and fully recovered from an attack from the 404 virus without requiring major work.
Vista is crap but I have had 7 for 5 years and am only having minor hiccups now. Mostly hardware problems. Plus the general UI for 7 I find way more attractive than XP. I can't believe I used to have so many toolbars open (confusing!).

Ain't that the truth. Even if you rip all the songs from Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest no-one will really care. It's not like they're gonna sue you, unless you start selling your game.

Even if Minecraft is a tool it's a fricking sweet tool. I think Minecraft and RPG Maker are actually pretty similar... you're mostly just creating things for the sake of creating them. The end product is good and all, but it's you creating something that provides some kind of reward. I've yet to find out what that reward is.

The question is - how do I get on the top posters of the month ranking and still not clog the forum with my statements that clearly lack of knowledgable input? Is Welp, Welp a good forum to vent my existential frustrations into an unfiltered environment? I mean, at the end of the day, I'd rather be a silent pest than a loudmouth.

My view on Minecraft is, whatever it is it was fun, and I played it for about 2 years actively. It ruined a couple of my grades. I don't think any other game has done that for me.
How do you hand-hold the player?

What is your definition of hand-holding and why don't you do it? Does that mean you don't have a tutorial level, you don't tell the player how to access the menu, or even to move their character? How much should they have to figure out themselves? Everything? Then won't it move at a snail-like pace? Elaborate further, I'd really like to know.
