Genesis Review

To be honest, I've gotten used to facesets being used as a vague representation for which character is speaking without having to read their name every time, so the lack of emotions didn't bother me so much. If you feel that'd help with other players though, by all means! Editing facesets isn't too difficult, especially if you find a set of faces with emotions that someone has already made and you simply copy over the mouths/eyebrows and blend them in well.

Hiron's Path Review

Oh, that's a shame because I felt this game could've gone somewhere.. :( Oh well, I hope he does well with the iPhone apps!

NaGaDeMo Review Drive

Just submitted my review for Ethereal Heart, putting me at 8 reviews thus far. I must have that 20+ achievement.. I MUST!

Caz, Muninn and Marrend, you guys are machines.

No, we just have no lives. Or at least I don't anyway. :P

What are you jamming to?

I would sit and listen to Imogen Heap forever if I could.

Nordic mythology short stories

I doubt I could help with the writing, sorry, but I dug up a few things from Google that may offer a little bit of help:
Thor and the Midgard Serpent
The Death of Balder
Thor in Vinland
A site containing various other tales

Norse mythology is open to interpretation, so it might be difficult to make into something more visual like a game. I'd certainly like to see you try this, though, even if it's only loosely based on the original stories!

Nordic mythology short stories

In my experience, Nordic stories tend to be quite long.. not that I've really read very many of them, but the ones I have done were complicated and not really too suitable for short games.

Are you sure you're set on Nordic mythology for this? I think that's possibly one of the most difficult themes you could have chosen to find short stories on. XD I tried Googling around, and I honestly couldn't find a single story.

RMN Pixel Quilt event

Oh sweet, that picture looks so much clearer. I'll try using that image to edit the mousepad now.

And yes, that is totally what I was thinking! What better way to get people to donate than offering them sweet mousepads/coasters in return? I don't think the rates on that site I used are very good, but you don't have to pay anything until you start earning royalties (I think it's 10% of what you get per month, up to $10).

RMN Pixel Quilt event

Weirdly, that actually blurred it. It might be because I'm using Win7 MSPaint, which tries to make everything look "nice".

Regardless, even after getting it to be not-blurry, the site I uploaded it to insisted on blurring everything up like crazy. Not to mention their prices.. It was never meant to be. D:

The hideousness in action.

This quilt would probably make a really cool mouse pad.

I tried this but it blurred to hell when I increased the size. D: Must find a way to keep pixel-y goodness in tact!

EDIT: Nevermind, was being stupid. I can probably do this!

Genesis Review

The mapping was okay, it wasn't horrifically offensive or anything. XD It's mainly big, empty interiors that needed to be toned down. Every building was stretched to fit the size of the map, but you can use the completely transparent/black block to make it seem like there's nothing there in order to show where the outside should be, like this kind of thing:

Oh, I didn't really notice the sidequest.. maybe you should make it so that the players are more aware of it? Or make sidequests an expected thing by making a few more of them? That way, people will go around and talk to everyone.

The scripting error with the battle wasn't your fault, which is why I didn't score you down on it or anything (I'm harsh but I'm not THAT harsh). It was just difficult not to want to run away when you're getting beaten to a pulp by the monsters, so maybe the answer it just to reduce the strength of them a bit.

As for the demo ending, that's a good thing because I thought I'd been conned out of the game's ending and was actually quite sad. XD Maybe if you just put an event like "this is the end of the demo" after you kill the giant, offer a savepoint and then return to the title screen, then people can continue on where they left off before the demo ended when you release the next segment of the game.

I did enjoy the game a lot! I look forward to seeing the next chapters from you!
