I'm sorry that a WIP map from my game about time loops, survival and Lovecraftian entities looks generic to you without any tints/lighting/interaction going on yet

you will have to find someone to make graphics for you because vx rtp doesn't exactly scream Lovecraft to me

lol i know using non-rtp graphics in vx takes a truly heroic effort but yeah trying to convey the abject horror of lovecraftian subject matter via any resources included in the vx 'run time package' is not going to be very effective. virtually every game uses it even if it is way too far a stretch to fit thematically, it seems like the possibility of using different graphics is just barred from everyone's mind except like, yds. kind of disheartening when you read some comprehensive story pitch covering subject matter ranging from horror to scifi to relatively profound philosophical concepts and inevitably you look at the screenshots and see vxforest.png

lmao dude, i forgot about that. i liked how sarevok thought he was an extremely important human being during the 5 minutes he was allowed in steel's circlejerk crew but was reduced to ashes and tears after one of steel's routine tirades where he would flip out and focus his existence on humiliating and ostracizing a select person for some trifling reason
