Here is a game idea, You play Charlie Chaplin and it is the day berlin was attacked by allied forces. After the attack, Charlie Chaplin is mistaken for Hitler and Arrested for NAZI war crimes, when the only thing Charlie is guilty of is being in love with Bratwursts and high-paid German whores.
With the help of a young George Burns Charlie Escapes custody and must travel the world evading world police and try to find the Real Hitler who you find out orchestrated the whole set up so he can retire to his beach resort in Mt. Fiji.
After defeating hitler and trapping his soul inside George Burn's cigar, you see a portal hidden in Hitler Porn drawer which you use to teleport to the future to fight Ali Bin Laden and his 40 thieves.

Along the way you also meet up with the Ghost of John Wilkes Booth who is trapped on earth because in order to ascend to heavon(which is located in Holland) he must atone for his sins.
You also come across an adult Hellen Keller.

Charlie Chaplin fights with the power of silent slapstick comedy
George Burns attacks people with cigar-based magic and hobbit magic.
Ghost of John Wilkes booth is a gun slinger.
Hellen Keller fights with the power Socialist philosophy.

Final Fantasy I origins HP level up

author=LockeZ
Well, here's what you need to do.

1) Make variables to store all the party member's levels. Don't use these for anything else except this system.
2) Make a common event, a parallel process, named Max HP Bonus. It should always be running.
3) Have the parallel process check each character's current level and see if it's the same as their variable. If so, do nothing. If not, increase their max HP by a random amount and increase their variable by one. (You will need to store the character's actual current level in a temp variable in order to do the comparison. You can reuse the same temp variable for everyone.)

will the variables to store the levels be a common event as well?

What event do i use to check the levels?

Wil using this system add to the current hp you get from setting the HP graph in the hero part of the database; does it negate that or should i change that?

What games are you looking forward to?

A new Call of Duty with more Zombies levels.
I was rather disappointed that Black Ops only had 2(not including Dead Ops) The levels themselves were terrific but i expected more. Especially considering world at war had like 4-5 I don't remember the exact amount.

Hmm, Diablo 3

Any new resident Evil.

I was looking forward to the new twisted metal, but now not so much.

not many other new games kinda of an old school fan...but then maybe i am to cheap to invest so who knows.

What we did horribly on our first games.

My first RPG was on RPG maker for PS1 it was a fan-game sequel to Baulders Gate called Kharnes revenge it was baaad.
that is all i can say.

I had a few other early projects that were equally deplorable, but i don't remember them well >_<

the one i do remember that was actually pretty good as far as game play and cohesiveness goes. It was this stoner comedy game that opens with the main characters lighting a bag of dog shit on a crack heads doorstep and you saved by going to bars and getting black-out drunk. Smoking weed was a curative item and a whole bunch of other goofy, goofy stuff.

Attention all RuneScapers!

You've gota be pretty desperate to play Runescape in the first place.
Especially when there are literally hundreds of better free MMOs out there of higher quality in all areas.

I can't believe I just used higher quality and free MMOs in the same sentence, but it is true when compared to RuneScape.

Have you ever heard of Battle of the Immortals?

Battle of The Imortals

Working around cliche? Writing discussion..

But maybe there's a specific range of exactly how expected something has to be to qualify as a cliche: not too expected, but not too unexpected.
After thinking further, I have decided that this theory makes sense, and have decided to officially adopt it. To illustrate exactly what I mean by it, I have drawn this helpful diagram. Story conventions in the red zone are considered cliches. They are not common enough to be taken for granted, but they are common enough that you are utterly unsurprised by them.
