*tries to steal* "Couldn't steal anything!"

Persistence = wasting your time pressing one key for 10 minutes.

I never liked the notion of stealing items during battles. I mean, if the enemy has an item that can be stolen, why doesn't the party get it when they loot his corpse? And they do loot corpses, since there are always item drops and money drops... so why won't they find the item the enemy is in clear possession of when they kill him? Why can it be only obtained by using a command rather esoteric in nature?

The steal command is a very gamey concept that rewards nothing but wasting your time by choosing a command that doesn't bring you closer to winning the fight. Shouldn't all fights be more about winning than prolonging them? Cf Final Fantasy 8 and drawing magic. God!...

The Mirror Lied Review

Are you implying that only 20+ hour epics deserve a high rating? I hope not.

Most Anticipated RM Games (2010)

Alter AILA Genesis.
To Arms! and the other dozen games Legion will probably release this year.
Phantom Legacy (I can dream :).
Diablocide X.
Nightmare in Sunnydale.
Riot Grrrl.
The obligatory yearly "surprise!" release that will blow my socks off.

Game Gale 2010

As usual, I've bitten off more than I could chew.

Oh, well, better luck next time, I guess.

Solstice (2005 DBS Code-off Demo)

Live-a-Live FTW.

Beautiful Escape: Dungeoneer

Hostel + Saw + Dungeon Keeper + Deception + Snuff = Win.

Question Regarding Saving: Anywhere, or through Priests?

Save everywhere.

One Night Review

I'm talking about the wandering monsters that appear pretty much randomly around the complex.

A Quick Look at RMN Ratings

People that frequent the site probably would, but if I'm viewing the site for the first time ever then the first thing I do is to launch up the gamebase and sort the games by ratings, then try some of the top-rated games. A game rated 1 star I do not care about. If it has just one star then it's probably shitty, after all it has been reviewed by people that know what they're talking about.

A voting system must be anonymous and preferably a scale system (say 1-5 stars, not just thumbs up and thumbs down - what if I like a game, but I still feel it's only so-so compared to some other games I had downloaded off RMN?). I also think it should be open to everyone, not just the members. It would seem open to abuse, but we would just have to wait and see how it works out.

One Night Review

I still think the game deserves at least 3 stars, maybe 3,5. It may not have the best plot, but it's a solid (survival) horror.
At least give the sequel a chance; it doesn't have random encounters :)
