Because the facesets are more detailed or....?
I don't know - I think I designed the battlers to look like the facesets. I mean, I think my orc character is a little more green than the faceset but the others I believe match fairly well.

Thanks!
My next challenge will be to edit Maria for my Brunhilde character.

I could see where you're coming from as far as the layout; I'm not exactly a graphics designer, functionality was my main concern here. What do you suggest? I want to keep it simple, and I like the menu backdrop with the scrolls as it fits the game. I know the 00 is not ideal but this is a long event sequence that lags on my system.

Yes.
Additionally, for those who know the story this was a part of testing screenshot - there really won't be a time these two will be in the same party.

Phantom Legacy (Redux)

I finished the game, and I must say I really enjoyed it (although, could've been longer).

The battlesystem was one of the better ones I've played (yes battles were a bit easy, but you had to use strategy to make them easier).

Storyline was great and I enjoyed the characters; I think my personal favorite was corvus, whose history could've been fleshed out much more.

My memory was jogged a little bit with introduction of more of the demon legacy characters (which I may replay actually).

Overall great game. Malakai by the way reminds me of lezard ala VP

Tales of the Rhinemaidens

I wish I had a better answer for you, but I haven't been working on it for all that long.

What I'm trying to do is as much of the prework (graphics, skills, etc) as I can before I really get into making the game (although I have jumped into the actual game to take a break). I think my biggest mistake with my old game was that I didn't do it this way - its harder to go through the attrition part after you have already gotten into the game. But any help is appreciated (especially graphics in which I don't feel I am very talented at but I have patience to do what I can to make them look better than average).

Phantom Legacy (Redux)

Rmn is still THE country for old men,

Few comments on the game (played a few hours today)

Nightblade,

Well your writing talents haven't gone astray which was good to see. I'm currently in the first town, trying to get a ship.

So far I've been fairly meh about not remembering everything that went down in the original. I remember some of the charasets fairly well (rhea especially comes to mind) but how everything finished in demon legacy is a bit fuzzy for me.
I think ill write a review when its all over - enjoyed the
Parts I've played thus far.

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

WhiteRabbit: the materia system and the graphics both look very impressive.

I'm working on my game, Tales of the Rhinemaidens for about the past two months. Progress has been a little slow due to work and school constraints.

I've been jumping around everything, from putting together the attributes add menu (at level ups), designing the skill system, making graphics and doing some maps and the intro/first dungeon of the game. My goal is to try and make some really good progress over the extended weekend.

What's next

While I haven't played the new game yet, I do remember really enjoying Demon Legacy, which especially at the time (with the exception of my own game) was probably the only game in the genre (dark fantasy) and if you would like to take anything from it - likely was a big help to put dark fantasy rpgs on the map in the rpgmaker realm.

At the end of the day, I definitely don't agree that the games you made were a waste of time whatsoever, and its impressive you were able to complete not just one, but two games.
