The Lost Demo

Yes, real life with 3 kids and a demanding job seems to be pushing on my time. I made 2 career moves and I'll have the next one in 3-4 years when I finish the management degree.

I am not sure anymore when I will be able to finish this. It's a hobby that I seem to have less and less time for.

The Lost Demo

It will be delayed to next year shamefully, covid is really pushing the schedule ahead. My work in health care is crazy still. I still need to adapt the release date here and push it further yet another year...

On another note, I've had someone on discord ask me some things and I made a little FaQ for his questions. I wrote out 4 side event quests there (the puzzle events) to help them solve them. You might be interested and people might be able to help you with in-game questions, like what certain quests are about because you have those black boxes. I will also be able to answer your questions now and then on a more chat-like basis. It's faster than this forum-type messaging system. You're choice of course!

Thank you for the compliment and I'm very glad you like it!

It wouldn't be the first time that a bug suddenly 'disappears' after I changed something or deleted/added a plugin. If in any case, you end up without the issue you mentioned, let me know so I might figure out what is causing the black boxes you experience.

The Lost Demo

I have asked on developers forums for help. But only the scripters replied that asked for money. And a lot of it as they all said, finding bugs in existing code is more expensive than writing your own code. But writing code that has a 0% chance to bug out because of not being compatible with other plugins is an illusion they said. And making 1 plugin for the 100+ plugins I use would have coster me a couple of thousand dollars. It's crazy and really not realistic.

I am basically asking the scripters to find a needle in a haystack and while they might fix that bug, not screw over any others.

But if you know someone or if you can script, I would really appreciate it if you would try. I do want all the players to have a great experience!

The Lost Demo

You're basically saying I need to hire a guy that is specialized in Javascript to get in contact with you, go over all kinds of possible problems, understand how the RPG maker engine reads data, and go over all the plugins and find this problem.

That will cost me a lot of money for something that has only occurred with 1 player for a free game. I'm sorry, but I can really use my money for other things. It's not that I wouldn't want everything to run better for you, it's just that it will cost a ton for something that isn't an issue for the other players so far.

The Lost Demo

It could be one of the plugins I'm using that shows that black screen. But as you're the only one reporting it. I'm pretty sure it has to do with my game setup and your PC specs. And RPG Maker MV plugins are a bit wonky at times. I'm sorry it happened to you but it is not something I know how to fix or where to look for a fix.

The Lost Demo

Yeah, I'm not saying it is your specs. I think it is the combination of my game and the specs. Something isn't running right and I don't know how to fix that as it runs well on everyone else's computer (so far).

My current focus is on developing the game. Once I finish the game I will have time to help on Q&A but for now, I won't be doing that. Sorry.

and there are still black screens on the title screen and the sidequest when clicks on a quest to read more and those black squares... what is the cause?

That is sad to hear, but so far you've been the only one that had this with my game. It's probably a combination of how my game runs and the specs of your computer. This isn't something I know how to fix.

what are the side events of the demo and all their information?

In your menu, you have side events that you acquire during your gameplay. If you click on them you get information. That information.

Pushing the captain into the Ritualist role will give him less defense against melee damage. If Kaan has enough TP he can use his TP skills first and finish the captain off in 1 turn with a weapon skill. Otherwise, it could take more than 1 turn. Letting the captain stay in the Defenders role will make it harder as he will have the highest defense possible of all roles.

But you should be able to beat him even if he used the crystal.

Try killing all the soldiers outside and gaining a level. Search for the chests in the cave that give you stuff that helps out, check the Mezun merchant as he can sell you better equipment. After that, it all comes down to your knowledge of the battle system. You can always set the difficulty on the lowest in the options menu before you enter the fight.
