Like mentioned above by Aubrey: removed at 0 turns with 0% chance of recovery, means your guy is paralyzed forever. If your whole party is paralyzed forever, then it's game over.
If you want a short paralyze, consider using the Stun state instead.

1) Maybe you also ticked the checkbox for Death under the list of Inflict States
2) Maybe under the States tab, you changed something on the Paralyze state that made it similar to Death. Check the Paralyze state or post a screenshot of it.
