Try installing this, going to Control Panel, double clicking on ClearType settings, and ticking off the "Enable font smoothing" box in the Advanced tab. This worked for some people who seemed to have the same problem when I released the Spanish version a while back.

Speak No Evil
This game is awesome. I just barely managed to beat the first "real" boss (The silenced one), and the introduction to the battle, when she speaks the "I have no voice! You have silenced me!" line had me at the edge of my seat. I'm a sucker for scenes like those, especially if awesome boss battle music plays in the background.

There was this one game I downloaded from GGZ years ago, It featured an insecure and unsuccessful merchant as the protagonist, a trans gender mercenary as a supporting character, and had 100% custom graphics. It was a very short demo consisting of the introduction and one battle. Anyone know what Im talking about?

The good news: The game was eventually completed and became fairly successful.
The bad news: The full version was only released in Spanish.
Its name is La Cicatriz de Dhux, and its author is... me. To say I'm surprised anyone remembers that pitiful excuse for a demo would be an understatement.
I've actually considered translating the game into English, but right now I'm in no condition to do so. Mostly because, in what turned out to be a pretty dumb thing to do, I "locked" the game with this little program called molebox in an attempt to stop people from looking at the database and spoiling themselves to death. I have an unlocked version back home, but "back home" is pretty damn far at the moment, and will remain so until around Christmas.
If you are somehow interested in the Spanish version, a google search for "La Cicatriz de Dhux" should come up with a working link.
