Centora is the one on the right, right?

Wrong! You have four attempts left.

I've always wondered where floating continents get their water from - wouldn't all of the water have run off by then?

I can think of a number of explanations, but all of them would probably sound half-assed and contrived, so let's just say that a wizard* did it.

* Feel free to replace wizard with god, sufficiently advanced alien, or any other conveniently uber-powerful entity.

I'm reposting this since I got LIKE NO FEEDBACK AT ALL

The Third Day

The most infamous clash of the Eastern Alliance and the rebel Ragnarok Organization. Last year, in the spring of 1863, Ragnarok staged a series of attacks on Alliance excavation sites near the the Gradian Kingdom's eastern border. The Alliance pinpointed the origin of the attacks as being near the town of Balgan. However, unable to locate an actual staging base, Alliance officials rounded up 50 townspeople in Balgan. Half of those townspeople were imprisoned, and the other half were publicly executed via firing squad. The official Alliance story is that all of these people were either Ragnarok sympathizers or directly implicated in the bombings.

However, according to Ragnarok dissidents and some citizens, while Balgan has been linked to being correspondent to Ragnarok, the townspeople themselves were actually randomly selected and imprisoned/executed as an example to not only Ragnarok and their sympathizers, but to the entire world, as to how serious they were about terminating the rebellious elements. Since then, the world over has called this event The Third Day, considering the event culminated on the third day of the attacks and the ensuing investigation.

I think the lack of feedback might be due not to the actual quality of the screenshot (which is pretty cool), but rather to the huge (at least by the standards of a thread dedicated mostly to eyecandy) tl;dr block of text that accompanies it, and which most people would assume should be read to properly understand what's going on in the screenshot before posting any uninformed comments.

Doble Filo's world map. The five countries are called Estora, Nortora, Westora, Soutora and Centora. Hooray for creative naming! I bet you can't tell which is which.

Date Available

I filled in the Date Available field when submitting my game, thinking that it was supposed to be a tentative release date of sorts.

That is, until this thread proved me wrong.

Although my "game" (with its corresponding screenshots) was approved five days ago, it still hasn't showed up in the games section, so I was wondering if it is because the "Date Available" has not been reached yet. In the aforementioned thread, which I shamelessly raised from the dead without much success, WIP mentions that this feature is unfinished, but that was nearly two months ago, so I don't know if it's still true.

Either way, I'd like for my game to be publicly available before the date I input. Is this possible? (I suppose I could just delete it and submit a new one, but it would be a bit of a hassle -EDIT: Oh wait, I can't. Silly me.-)

Now then, assuming the "date available" gizmo is not actually working at all and is therefore completely unrelated to my situation, well er...

My game isn't showing up. Help!

EDIT: Ok, so after some experimenting, it seems that the gamepage can be linked to, even if it's not listed either in my profile or in the games section. Blog posts also show up properly. Sigh... I guess I'll just have to wait this out.

Submitting games on this website...

You currently can't. Also, Date Available is merely to inform the site on when you want your game to be publicly shown. It isn't finished quite yet.

Hmmmm. So, does that mean the game page won't show up in the games section until the date input in that field, even if it has already been approved?

Love is a many-splendoured thing

I'm an RPGer so I don't like it when "my" character is forced to do things I don't generally want to do.

This could be averted by introducing various possible love interests for the main character, and allowing the player to choose between them, or stay single if they so wish. Persona 4 achieved this quite masterfully (although the impact of the actual romantic relationships is lowered by the fact that you can be a sneaky bastard and pretty much go out with every single girl in the game at the SAME TIME without any major consequences -at least not any that I know of-).

Oversexualization of Females in Games

It just so happens that one of my game's main character's first lines is a comment on the female lead's impressive bust size. Maybe I should rethink my writing choices...

But then again, she is really stacked after all.

...

I think the problem might run deeper than I thought.

You hardly ever see a game where a guy and a girl are close friends that don't step past that base

Actually, isn't it exactly like that in most JRPGs? Even in the cases where the girl has an obvious romantic interest in the guy, the former is too much of a coward to admit it, and the latter is usually too dense or innocent to realize (kinda ironic if you stop to think about it). I barely remember the last time I saw the word "love" used in a romantic context in an RPG.

First boss battle! Meet the dreadful Slime Golem! (no, he's not supposed to be on fire most of the time)

Worst Video Game Titles

Shin Megami Tensei Devil Summoner Raidou Kuzonoha vs The Soulless Army,
Try saying that six times.

Shin Megami Tensei Devil Summoner 2 Raidou Kuzonoha vs King Abbadon
Ar Tonelico
Touch Detective
Gears Of War. The game has nothing to do with gears.

I don't see anything wrong with Ar Tonelico as a title... Sure, it's gibberish, but it doesn't sound bad.

Can't say the same about its sequel's subtitle, Melody of Metaphallica.

*sigh* Evony

So I've heard Plants vs Zombies is pretty fun...
