HAPPY'S PROFILE
I'm a very big fan of music of japanese role playing games for it has influenced me throughout my life since my early childhood. The day I saw Nobuo on the stage in front of me I decided I too will become a composer one day. It has been 9 years since that day.
You can't find my works anywhere right now, but that will change very soon this year as I will be contributing several original tracks for RMN Music Pack 2.

[Complete] Elegy's Eve
author=Max McGee link=topic=2335.msg40529#msg40529 date=1225219120The game is not supposed to be scary at all. Dunno about the cuteness either. My only inspiration was "The Snowman" fairytale, but in such a small timeframe I wasn't really able to execute everything so well.
Rocktastic.
I don't want to play this until I'm done with my barely started contest entry.
However, it looks super stylish.
Silly question: is this meant to be at all scary, or just nightmare before christmas style adorable? (I would love it if it was the former, but I seriously doubt that!)
Edit: I updated the first post with a downloadlink.
Oh and everyone has been saying the game is way too difficult. Actually first it feels like it yeah, but the gameplay really focuses on your movement, so don't just run around, but look at the ghosts and avoid them. Each ghost-type has their different ways of movement. Just like, mind where you run and look around. It should be only of matter getting used to. Saving / F12 / Load is your friend in case of lot of dying. :)

Even though it hahs felt it has been ongoing for the entire month.

Oh yes, a completely uninformative post! But, still!

[Complete] Elegy's Eve

Status: Complete
Estimated Playtime: 1 - 2 hours
Engine: Rpg Maker, but the game runs without the program or RTP installed, as well.

Category: Puzzle / Story
Description: The game tells a story about Hollows, a scarecrow never attending the celebration of Halloween, and a young girl, Mia, whose family travels to Uncle Bismar's estate to spend Halloween. This but which is a pefect place to feed the rich imagination of young Mia.
Gameplay:
Avoid the ghosts and other creatures of the same ilk. You have 3 Life Points, presented as pumpkins on top left corner
of your screen.
If you faint from damage received, you may use a "Continue" option, in case you are currently playing through a level. You can
use a "Continue" for 9 times. "Continue" cannot be used at the playability bits outside of the actual Levels.
Levels are a kind of "restricted" gameplay areas, that you need to accomplish as fast as you can, and taking as little
damage as possible. They start When you see a countdown, and end when you have accomplished the goal of the particular level.
Collecting a small pumpkin rewards you 1 point of Life and cuts 10 seconds from the time elapsed.
Note:
This game's focus is on the Halloween theme itself. Please understand all of the levels aren't likely to be very balanced,
nor accomplished in comparison to each other, because of the given timelimit and the related development issues, but I hope you can still enjoy the game as whole!
Another Note: If you are not a friend of difficult games or a lot of reading, this might not be so much of your thing, but I still
recommend the game to everyone.
Gameplay-wise significant known bugs: About in two cutscenes you cannot move, unless you call the menu from cancel button. So if the game freezes, call the menu.
One more note: The game has been translated by an english person too, in case you were worried of my bad english. :)

Also, "play this something." =)
Oh yeah I'll be entering the Halloween contest with this. Figures.
Oh and if anyone wants to support!

Thanks for the comments.
Garren: Yes, the title screen is custom as meavor guessed!
dnangel: Apparently not quite. At the moment I am working a small Halloween game to be released 27th Monday of October.
First "unofficial" demo is most likely going to be released Q1 of '09 on RMN's Release Something!

Halloween Game Making Contest! [Sign-Ups!]
Well it's for the GW contest so it's pretty likely people will come across it over there and since the release date for this contest's entries is later, I just figured.. that.. Well, if entries for this contest can be submitted earlier than the date in the first post, then there's no problem!
So that means I'm in I guess!

Halloween Game Making Contest! [Sign-Ups!]
Hmm, I'm entering another Halloween contest with entry I need to submit on Monday 27th. I can't enter this one with the same game, or?

Not much to report from today, either! I mean, I've been working all day on the project, but I don't wish to go on details, as I'm about to release it in few days anyway.
I was directing more events today! 10-15% of the total game events left to direct anymore. Hopefully I'll be done with them by tomorrow, so I can use the last three days I've got (beside Sunday for testing), to complete the missing gameplay levels!
