MV is OUT!

Wow, it really did sneak up.

My big question is... Is this program that awesome that I should dump the hefty amount to buy it now or wait until it goes on some sort of big steam sale (Like Humble Bundle)?

This coming from an individual who is in moderately stable financial situations now. (I was even able to donate to RMN last month!)

Wie kann ich mit Hyper Patcher 2?!

Well, after a disastrous week of trying to get Hyper Patcher 2, AutoFontInstaller and all other manner of Font modification done to this program... I've thrown in the towel after having to spend an entire day trying to force a system restore to repair the now borked game (kept crashing with some Direct Draw error upon loading the game full screen).

We'll just have to live with one of the default fonts. The second one doesn't look too bad.

Arum, the RM Universe

This looks very interesting. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the quick explanation of this would be along the lines of a game world where people can sign on with their own "Side Stories/Campaigns"? Kinda like a Campaign Setting where people submit their stories and they can be explored alongside other peoples submissions? I need to know more.

[Poll] What kind of game should *I* focus on?

Make something in a non-translated Super Dante rom save and post that.

Let's Play -- Suggestions!

If you're looking for people to submit Let's Play videos to, here's an entire list of people who are waiting for reviews about their games. I think they'd be just as happy getting some LP's of their games as well.

All the backbreaking work is almost done!

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll look into importing a more FF1 style system skin and see about that font. I kept it blue cuz that's the color all the boxes used in the original.

(Well, with the exception of battle.)

Edit - Aha! I figured out a way to make the system graphics in battle change to fit the original in and out of battle :D

[Review Request]

Name: Descendant of Truth (RM2K)
Link: http://rpgmaker.net/games/6381/
Status: Demo - Hiatus
Genre: Sci-Fi/Fantasy RPG
Estimated length: Oh goodness. It's been so long since I opened it... One or two hours, perhaps?
Small description: Take on the role of a youth with an unusual past shrouded in mystery, raised in a futuristic setting under the tutelage of a mighty yet questionable space armada.
Special requests: I'm just throwing this out there as the project I've devoted the most time out of any other project to, and as a focus for any RM2K lovers out there to take a look at. It's horribly aged, and my younger days well show in a majority of the early design and story. I'm mainly looking for some inspiration if anyone thinks the story is worth salvaging (barring some much needed cleaning up, of course!) after all this time. I started it over fifteen years ago in a badly translated RPG Tsukuru 2 for the SNES! There's also the possibility of reworking the entire story in VX Ace, which is the more probable solution for the title.

Theres a Game Makers steam bundle out

Interesting! There's also a weekly humble bundle going for Game Maker at the same time.

That's what I thought this original post was about, actually. Can anyone give me some details on how good Game Maker Pro is? I've only used ACE and earlier RPGMaker engines.

Hard to work on RPG's when you're in college and lethargic already.

Call me lazy, that's fine. My recent transfer to my new college has left some serious lack of personal time - they really don't mess around up here.

Combine that with the fact I hate Math and can't get down German to save my life.

RPGMaker.net Slack Group - Come discuss everything!

I rather enjoy keeping communication over devices such as Steam, but I'd be willing to give this a shot.
