black mage weapons with medica? x_x
Well, they're probably more like sage rods with a strong magic bias, looking at the stats, similar to how FF4's Healing Staff is a mind staff with abnormally high but not equal magic. I am considering just not pulling on the second banner, wnd instead doing extra SSB banners. The two rods I have will go well on white summoners for the ultimate, which is a group fight.

Two Werebuster rods, shared group Cura. Oh well. Hopefully the next banner is more interesting... though that one has Werebuster as well. Still, they're my first 5-star black mage weapon, though I've gotten several sage ones.

Maybe you should pull for FF9, then, instead of always putting everything into 10 and 13. If you lack weapons, consider using mages because they can hit harder with less investment. If all else fails, you can always try Retaliate with Advance. Even a 4* Gladius will do okay under those conditions.
I'll be doing FF2 right away--already got the whole cast to Lv60+, except Firion. Full length orb events are really boring, so breaking it up actually makes me spend more stamina in the end.
With the advent of Hall of Rites, it's nice to see a library full of uncollected Record Materias. I am not sure whose MC2s I will get first, but I am leaning towards Bartz and Locke. The third will wait until the SSB mythril is spent, in case I get an SSB for Gilgamesh or something, though the more I dwell on it, the more I am leaning towards banner 4 instead of 5.

Don't followers cap at 100?
I have 100 followers, but over 75% of those are low level Tyros, so I don't get summoned very often.
Old followers are automatically bumped off of the list by new ones. Only mutual followers are permanent. I get a lot of good mutual followers with Stoneskin.

almost 300... that's insane =0
Yeah, I don't really understand it. It was about 75 or so for Bahamut Sin, which is the highest it'd ever been for Stoneskin. Stranger still, I got zero new followers with that 300, when I usually get at least five per day. When it comes to followers, I'm only interested in getting quality over quantity since the gil is pretty insignificant anyway.

Uh... I guess Silver Dragon is hard? My roamer was used almost 300 times, which is about ten times higher than usual. That or some quirk of chance put my gal Y'shtola in a lot of shuffles.
It looks like Edward's and Firion's MC1 are available via the new Hall of Rites feature, though Firion was getting his anyway in a few days, so I'll get it from the event before I even have the blank crystal the login bonus.
Well, I don't think levels need to be that high for most of these ultimates... over 60 is good enough, and Freya is effectively Lv64. She was hitting the damage cap with Wind Jump after Drunk Cecil's Soul Eater is in effect, so was Steiner with an off-synergy sword. She takes less damage than the rest of the team because of jump's aerial time. Speaking of jumps, I really wish they had no charge time and only air time.

freya at 54 and you still won? nice. if she's not a requirement i'll just use fang so i don't have to waste the eggs, since I have her SB (and it's one of my best weapons -- 120 atk spear!). (i wish spears increased jump damage 10-20% like other FFs, it'd make their "slightly below swords" ATK more palatable.

Silver Dragon mastery party:
Boss is pretty easy but also annoying. Y'shtola never got to use Armor Breakdown because she was healing every turn because Silver Dragon counterattacks the entire party constantly with an unmitigatable, HP-based attack (about 700 damage, so not powerful but adds up very quickly). A group cure would've been a good idea in hindsight, or a reflect/retaliate strategy to avoid provoking counters. As long as the dragon is grounded, all of its attacks are physical so I didn't even bring any form of Shellga. The one magic attack it has while airborne isn't even that threatening. Bartz probably should've brought Aerora Strike instead of Lifesiphon because hitting weaknesses generates bonus soul meter anyway.
The dragon starts off airborne so I held off on casting all of my buffs until Freya could Wind Jump it down. There will be a message that pops up telling you when the dragon is going to take flight again. I always used Wind Jump immediately after that message and it never landed prematurely so the timing is pretty convenient. No weak phase, so the fight's difficulty is steady.

Yeah, I like 2 as well, just not as much as 1 snd 5. A mage throwing weapon would be nice to have and the consolation soulbreaks are great--especially because I don't have a faithga yet, other than that Halloween hat. It's also got some permanent stats for Tyro.
Bartz's SSB is pretty excellent and any weapon with +Holy that a knight can wield is pretty future-proof. Also, Bartz is an excellent character so the +10 Attack is nice to have.

SSB banners are out. Banners 1 and 5 look the best to me. Once again, they've gutted it of FF1-3 items. I might end up pulling on all but the third phase, though... which would probably be a poor decision.
