Well, ain't that something. My FF7 melee lineup has 360 attack power minimum, with Tifa at over 400. I will probably mop up this Zack event pretty handily. I spent yesterday's stamina getting upgrade materials and today I'll get some gil to finish some of the combining. Combining the third Black Garb, Black Robe, and Masamune Blade costs 200,000 a pop and I already dumped all of my money upgrading those 5-stars.

Nice rolling, Jude! Genji Armor has (relatively) sucky RES but is really nice against super physical bosses.

I'll swap back to Sentinel Grimoire today since I think the bonus battle event quests are hitting for FFXIV? I put them off until today because of the quests and I assume a lot of other people did too.

Probably too late to reap the Shadow Flare money too, right? So I'll just keep it on SG until Auron's event comes and I can put up Slice & Dice.

Well, I probably won't use Genji Armor outside of FF5 synergy. I have a good collection of light armors and some good bracers/hats for casters. And I sort of didn't need Genji Armor for FF5 much either, because I have a lot of 4++ stuff from FF5 that I've acquired from failed relic draws, but I certainly won't turn down a natural 5-star.

I think Shadow Flare might be a better choice than Sentinel's Guard once the FF7 bonus fights roll out, because Proud Clod can be blinded. And speaking of the FF14 bonus fights: I'm having a really hard time dealing damage. Yshtola hits for like 5k with Diaga, but everybody else has trouble breaking 2.5k damage--and that's with Thancred using a bard song to boost everybody's attack power. They're so resilient and I have no good FF14 gear because I saved mythril for Zack's banner. I really need a new Luneth RW... I used to have several but they've all changed except one. So I don't know... I might end up not mastering this one but we'll see what I can work out.

i normally get big uses of my Sentinel Grimoire when the bonus battles come out and the last day of events. I assume the same will be for SS2! sazh will probably get you more uses because haste is always nice whereas ss2 is more for the hardest content... i'd judge it based on the current bonus bosses and how magic-heavy they are.

I tend to prioritize Sazh/Red XIII over Sentinel Grimoire, but I go with whatever is available when I enter the dungeon because I'm can't be bothered to reset my RW options. The exception is if the boss is capable of coming close to one-shotting somebody due to weak gear synergy or I have some lower level guys with me. This is because Haste is a great damage-reducer because it basically allows you to kill the boss in fewer total turns, and often Shell or Protect is enough anyway... especially if the main issue is single-target physical attacks that can be soaked up by a tank. If dudes simply can't survive the blast then I'll use Sentinel Grimoire so I can stack it with a Shellga as well.

For the most part I only use mitigation RWs, with the exceptions being fights where I just don't need an RW at all and just pick whatever it throws at me by default, or battles that require certain conditions like needing a sleep, silence, or slow, etc.

I think tomorrow is another FF7 event yet again. Spent some time doing FF7 elites so I could clear those out while leveling up my FF7 party more. I basically dumped all of my mythril into Golbez as I was acquiring it and completely failed to get anything out of it--I have no idea how much I spent total. Since it ended I've been saving up and have almost 30 mythril now which I'll probably spend on FF7 because I'm actually pretty lacking in those items.

Anyway, my RW is Tifa again and right now she's pure Attack power, but I'll be switching her to FF7-synergy once the event pops. Her Water Kick hits pretty hard if you ever need some useless damage.

On a hot streak here. This forbidden treasures banner got me an Emerald Bracer (Shellga!) yesterday and a Danjuro just now. This is my first 5-star dagger and will help fill some gaps for characters who have very specialized weapons like Red XIII. Apparently they messed up and we're going to get 18 tablets totsl so I'm using them pretty liberally for the extra mythril. Used all the major EXP eggs to get summoner, red, white, and black mage up to Lv50, so sometime soon I'll have to find their materia. Odd. I get white mage's materia from Hein's Castle normal. I don't have it, but I use Kane's which was acquired in the elite version of that dungeon. Maybe it was added after I completed it already.

Can't complain. Three consecutive pulls: Blitz Sword, Sheepskin Cloak, and some gun I forget the name of. So I have proper FF8 gear. Not to mention I finally have a good gun, period. Unfortunately it puts me at zero mythril for the event that starts tomorrow.
