FINAL FANTASY: RECORD KEEPER

Kind of disappointing. I spent 115 mythril trying to get some good FF8 gear because all I have is a vanilla 3-star Flail and a Balamb Garden Uniform (which is admittedly great). Zero 5-star items and all of my 4-star draws were FF5 and FF12.

Beatrix is kind of annoying. It took three tries to master. She just has so much HP. Oh, I switched my Roaming Warrior to Tifa during the last FF7 event. Had her Crystal Glove/Water Kick. I probably won't be changing it back to Dark Cecil any time soon because Water Kick does more single-target damage.

Craze, your timing is frustrating. I was trying to be optimistic that I could beat Blue Dragon without Sentinel Grimoire, but that isn't what happened. Bench Quistis.

Which Castlevania Game is Your Favorite?

It used to be Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse, but every year I find myself replaying the original Castlevania, while the gap between CV3 replays gets wider.

Square-Enix announces new Seiken Densetsu title

dawn of mana was the awesome ps2 game which kinda felt like seiken densetsu meets crash bandicoot which is awkward and such but I still like it as a game lol

Dawn of Mana is bad.

Cultural Documentaries

author=facesforce
My best advice to you, from a personal level, if you want to go learn about other cultures, go there and stay for 3 months.
You will have to learn the local ways, language and after the first 45 days, the tourist factor bleeds away and you will learn faster then any documentary. That's what I've been doing (In Taiwan, Taichung)

EDIT: A documentary will always put you in the shoes of the outsider looking in. Living there makes you a local looking out.

This is impractical advice. Most people do not have jobs/lives that they can just put on pause for three months without repercussions.

GDeN for me. My roamer is Dark Knight Cecil with his 5-star Dark Sword and the Darkness limit break which hits all enemies for pretty large dark damage. Lv46, 236 Attack Power.

Been playing for awhile but I've yet to hit the level cap with anybody. I'm in the 30s and 40s for quite a few characters, though. I tend to play before and then after work, though sometimes I only get one or no sessions in.

Also, I wanted to add that everybody is doing it wrong when it comes to party formation. You have five slots... so do it FF4 style and stagger your rows. It's really ugly to see Front, Front, Front, Back, Back... Front, Back, Front, Back, Front... Got it? Good.

Valhalla

Good update. First odd thing I noticed is my thief attempted to use a spell when they have an empty spellbook. Now that you have the character sprite lerping from tile-to-tile, you could also get rid of the pause in between steps.

Smash your controllers, smash your shit, smash your kids.

I once threw a 360 controller out the window of my 12th floor apartment into a parking lot across the street. It was foolish. I missed multiple impact guards in a row in Soul Calibur due to internet lag and needed to take it out on something. Technology usually explodes in spectacular fashion... unfortunately the 360 controller is pretty lame. The plastic is too bendy so it doesn't explode other than the rumblers.

in more important news Pillars of Eternity is out today

The difficulty has plummeted since acquiring a priest and a second chanter. I can still get overwhelmed but as long as I use chokepoints and manage my spell slots things aren't too bad. The two tent limit is sort of annoying, though. I took a shortcut in the crypts below my keep, and am now worried I won't be able to get back before becoming fatigued and running out of magic. The drake there took everything I had.

Lucky me. Found some magic stairs on the same floor as the drake that took me back to the keep.
