Thanks for taking the time to leave the feedback. I believe a lot of the tone and reasons behind the protagonist's outlook and dialogue will become clear as the game unfolds, but within the context of the demo, I can see where you're coming from. Great feedback on the combat as well, been noted. :D
I'm really glad, despite everything, that you had fun!
This game is definitely going to be a heavy hitter, I can feel it! Yeah, just wanted to lay out some opinions and thoughts of mine, sometimes I hate doing so cause I feel like a dick, but I'm not trying to be snobby about it lol they're just thoughts I had while playing the game.
But yeah, I can tell so much time and effort is being put into this project, I'm going to support it until the end! :D I mean, all that original art and pixel work is just gorgeous! It's very original as far as rpg maker horror games go
Our Dark Heart (demo)
I played what was offered in the demo and I really did enjoy it all! Was a big fan of the transition and fadeouts for some backgrounds and environments, good stuff. Scenery and layout in general is really well done as well :D music is subtle but works incredibly atmospherically!
My only few gripes so far would have to be the dialogue and a little bit of the aiming/shooting gameplay. I feel as if the protagonist is a little edgy a lot of the times, it kinda takes me out of the immersion, but I do see what you´re going for with her character. Just a personal opinion! The aiming caught me off guard a bit, I´m assuming the aiming crosshair has to be directly on the enemy for the shot to connect? I tried aiming in back of the enemy and the shot wouldn´t hit, felt a little jarring to me. It feels a little slow, will there be faster enemies in the game? :o
All in all, a short taste, but a very good one of what´s to come! I´m very impressed and look forward to seeing and playing more! :D

Damnn, this looks dank. And I like dank *sunglasses* The signs and the graffiti on the walls are so clear and readable, most games kinda blur or stretch the resolution so they end up looking weird, but this game perfects that. Every effect and lighting is just icing to the beautiful structure of the mapping too <3

Damn, for mapping being your greatest weakness, this isn´t bad at all dude :) I get a nice natural zelda vibe from the environments and layout. There are some areas that look barren and too open in my opinion, you could always spruce up maps with other things you would find in this area.
Maybe like some birds, animals, tree logs, lilypads, fish, you know that kind of stuff. the cliffs and mountains look pretty good, but I think the grass areas surrounding the water are a little too lined and flat looking, try and add variation to it instead of straight lines, maybe like it extending more outwards and the water coming a bit more inwards if that makes any sense XD good job so far though!
