[Poll] When Do High School/College Finals Happen for you? For Use in Future Events and Jams
There's different systems. In Germany Abitur length varies from state to state, the one I happened to do it in had like, 12 and a half years (vs 12 or 13), so finals were indeed in March - well, oral ones in March, written in January. It was either a rush to get into summer term for uni, or get a job and go for the winter one if you were aiming for a university degree. Throughout school there's no real exam period, instead they are peppered throughout the year.
As for University .. yeah, March is a thing.
