The mission team you proposed seems a little dangerous to me. At this point I think we should make sure that the people on the team are as townish as possible, because narrowing down Mordred/Merlin's identity by one person is a bigger deal each day. "One of these 9 people isn't your target" is just numerically a more powerful hint than "One of these 13 people isn't your target." So I would like to:

I do think it's worth noting that even though Gourd voted for YM, he only posted one very short message with the lynch vote several hours before hammer, and wasn't otherwise around, so I think he's a possibility for the scum who is responsible for nightkills.

For now I would prefer to target Cap_H or Gourd_Clae. As I said yesterday, PlatinumAshes was the one who figured out and announced that he thought Muffle was Oberon based on things she said. And he was right. I don't think scum would do that.

My best theory is we were too fast. Remember that there's no night phase, and scum has to submit their kills before the end of the day. And we ended the day very early and suddenly.

This means that there is at least one scum among the people who weren't around during the last few hours. Scum might be voting on targets, or they might have a specific person assigned by the moderator to pick targets. If they're voting, then that means none of the scum were active during the end of the day rush, though voting is pretty rare. And if Mordred is in the game, then I assume Mordred is probably the one choosing nightkill targets, so Mordred is probably the scum who wasn't around at the end of the day.

So, who wasn't around?

If Jeroen had more potential replacements available, I feel like he would have used one to replace Muffle.

Also, the only person who isn't in the game that he's said anything about is Muffle. He has said absolutely nothing in the entire game about anyone except Muffle. We're on day three now.

Between PlatinumAshes being the one to make that suggestion about not putting lynch targets in the quest teams (an obvious suggestion, but scum could have just shut up and let it happen), and him figuring out and stating publicly that he thought Muffle was Oberon before she flipped, I am actually starting to feel really good about him. I also feel pretty good about Kylaila, who first brought up the idea that if Muffle was scum then she was probably Oberon. She dismissed it as being unlikely, and said she thought Muffle was probably town, but I don't think scum would have even brought it up. Why would scum draw attention to the idea that Oberon exists? Even if they didn't know Oberon's identity, they almost definitely knew that the role was in the game, and they'd want to protect that person if they could.

Thinking about it, scum, except Oberon, would not need to drop such hints here, they have scum chat for that, last I heard. That leaves the possibility of Oberon, ofc, but I am not feeling that.

Why not?

Honestly I wasn't sure how to take her weird remark, but now that you've pointed out that she could be Oberon it's really starting to make sense to me. I wouldn't be against a Muffle lynch today at this point.

Yellow Magic is the one I feel most suspicious of. The others I just have no particularly strong opinion about.
