Alex, I would love a copy of what you have! I have also been looking for chosenfew, but they seemed to have dropped off the face of the earth and I haven't been able to track them down. I will check my collection to see if I have any of these.
Yea, TheChosenFew is TheGameArchivist. he's still around. we talked during the pandemic on the archive thread - I can't remember what he said about the list tho. It was either a list of links he was trying to track down or a list of games he had on one of his computers in storage that he frequents but takes him awhile to access - unfortunately I can't remember which. But probably check post history.

Many times we get requests from discord and other places. When the requests are made in different areas it's harder to keep track of sometimes. it's a lot easier for us if everything is kept in the same place.

A more professional look on how to gather footage for your game. A lot of stuff I didn't even consider. Worth reading if you're looking for a more in depth look on "game capture" and "trailer creation".
I had no idea they got other companies to do trailers for their games.
I always thought it was more like the comicbook cover approach? That getting someone else in your "team" to do the cover/trailer for your product, will give them a better idea of what to look for in your game, because they'll have a better idea of what the highlights are.

Diablo 1
Breath of Fire 2 (big maybe)
...I don't know how this thread works. I dunno if Darken's gonna laugh at me XD. but I was just gonna say: don't give up on Diablo 1 just yet. I don't know what version your playing, probably PC. I played that, and the Mac version back in the day, (It was one of the few games Mac and PC could play together) but I was never really good at Diablo. But then years later I beat the single player mode on the PS1/PSPgo not too long ago.
If you're playing Warrior, it's kind of like a cookie clicker RPG?
When you find a better weapon, you'll want to slow down, save, and experimental with the new weapon for a bit before continuing with the game. Because often the new weapon won't work out, so you'll want to find a way to quickly switch back, so you can continue the game. You're really just creating a tank that will one shot everything. It took me years to figure this out cause I was too use to final fantasy and the two games couldn't be more different.
But like, the best part of Diablo 1 is like 3/4s into the game around the caves, right before you get near the final quest where the main plot point is revealed to you - They have this really great halloween music that plays in the background, I think it was in the caves. That music is better than it has any right to be. There is no reason why it should sound this good. XD

2022 was a really crappy year in general. there were more important things going on.
The fact that we even got a list of games out of it, at all, was a huge miracle.

The 2023 LBR thread
At the start of 2022. I started a silly "look back at 2021" thread on discord. It was kind of like a scrapbook of cool stuff from 2021 to get through 2022. I wanna do something similar cause 2022 is already starting pretty rocky. On the RMN Discord, esby started this great thread called "art-school" where esby, orochii and I try to give pointers to other users on how to draw better, because the three of us have had lessons growingup.
Anyways, there's a spin-off thread of that. where orochii and I, just chill with ellie from HBGames and just try and talk about video game box art, magazine advertisements, while we work out some ideas of our own - But interesting stuff comes up like "why is the Box Art for Castlevania SOTN so bad?" "Well because it's based on a real life castle Mont-Saint-Michel And that's really cool!." "...But then why is it still bad?!"
Anyways, today, I was looking at Mick McGinty's box art for street fighter 2. and I just had this dumb idea and it kind of snowballed from there.

orochii:some people argue that Super Death of Socrates is the better game, I think og Death of Socrates on NES was better, Super Death of Socrates kinda dumbed down the controls, like how you can't socratize in eight directions and instead have to blabber in circles, and the Socrates Time also feels less rewarding, they nerfed it down too much

definitely needed more time in the oven, it was rushed.the storyline with the Socrates Shadow was cool tho, and the thing
with unlocking Archimedes after you free him from a cage in a hidden room too they later did a spinoff called Ar-Kid-medes,
it's terrible but the artstyle is cute

2021 in a nut shell.
Posting this here, cause I miss Ozzy. I can't remember the commentary behind this.
I think I was watching him play through the RE8 DLC and he spent the entire game just
taking everyone down with just the shotgun until he got to the last boss.
Other than the Frost and Healing moves, we didn't know you had super powers?
So I lost my shit when he started pulling fireballs down from the air and teleporting around like a DBZ character.
I didn't know RE8 was that kind of game. XD
