Death Proclaimed II - Valerie's Letter
HAHAH, I love that springy headed thing. What the hell is it?
It could be creepy or ridiculous depending on the build up. If it's too little it'll be funny, if it's too much it'll be hilarious.

I'm really enjoying it so far. Being able to run would be great.
Yea, it's good to have people play your game and give you feedback, a couple of people are doing that for me right now and I've gotten some good stuff.
Do you think you'd be able to test play mine for a bit before I finish it next month?
You can take resources form it if you want.

This is a solid game, I'm just picking up a couple of minor things here.
The tile you are using for the tops of walls, you should probably go into the chipset editor and put a SQUARE on top of that tile. Right now you can't walk through any part of it and you probably want to make it behave like roofing, so people can walk under slight ledges.
Also, did you mean for the main character to walk this slowly. It's a bit harsh.
Aside from the walk speed I like it a lot.
EDIT:
The only way I was able to get to that door in the basement, when the light was off was to allow myself to die and stick a piece of bluetack to the monitor where the door is. With the guy right behind you, and the exit at some unknown position along the bottom wall that bit is just too hard to do, and re-walking the basement at that speed over and over is painful.

Ok, so...I got the message saying that she was creeped out and wanted to leave. So I tried the door. But it was only after I tried the door and found it locked that I took the photo of the blood on the wall. So the murderer didn't come out, Instead I got a chance to walk around some more...and the door was open, the music changed but he didn't appear until I went into the dining room. Hard to explain but the basic message is I messed up the trigger for the guy with the sheers.
also, the camera pans up for a second after you try the door, for some reason. Is it to show the blood?
EDIT: ah, I realise why it pans up now that I triggered the event properly.
The murderer's door doesn't lead anywhere.
After you've escaped the murderer and try the front door again, the message is accompanied by what must be an old version of Cecelia's face.

Alright man, I like the sneaking into the haunted mansion bit. I reckon that the switch that allows you to pick up the rope should be thhrown when she gets to the gate and says "I'll have to find anther way around"
the way it is, When she said that I immediately went "ok, I'll go and get that sweet piece of rope and climb over" but I couldn't yet, because I had to go back and click on a piece of wall first, so a bit of back and forth for something that only takes a second to work out.
A tiny thing: the shiney object on the small, round table....first floor, far right room. That object needs to be made a fixed graphic or something. If you clock on it from the right hand side it spazzes out and turns into upside down people and other objects.

Dude, this looks great. I'm still downloading so I could be wrong but I reckon you should put a second version of this picture over the first one, have some transparency in there and make one bigger than the other. This way, just outside of the light ring you're in, you'll have a slightly less transparent one, where you can see a little further but everything is really dark and half seen.
"what was that...ooh, did I imagine that movement..."
you get me?
It's at 60% ^_^

When I made the first half of the game I lived in Japan and "the ring" was fairly recent. Holy shit I feel old, the kids I teach now were just being born when the ring came out.

No, I didn't make it. It's a chipset from the internet that I've modified quite a bit. In the game that background is flying past on a panorama.
