@MarkusT- I think it largely looks fine. I don't notice any blur, but even then, like I mentioned, I'm still tinkering on it to make it better, and I did state that this isn't the final, final product. Yes, you offered me the fonts and the tips, and I took some of your advice, but why should I feel obligated to do everything to the letter that you advised me to do? That's certainly not fair.

Oh, I most definitely credited you for the fonts, namely in the blog post where I showcased the new fonts! Did you miss it?

Yeah i missed it man.. did not see it.
But thankyou~ Though in all honesty it's an actual font by squareenix, i just did the conversion making it work for Ace and even RMXP.
I wanna convert some other fonts from other old SNES games, i just dunno which fonts i wanna do exactly yet.

It's always looked blurred to me, which makes it look odd in a game that's supposed to look low rez.
The only reason i had offered them to him is because of the font he had being set in a way that it blurred like it's doing now, i THOUGHT he was going to use the font i supplied to fix the look he had before.
Had i known he would not even bother to set them to the right size, i would not have even bothered to share them with him.
Sorry if that's harsh man, but i offered my assistance to you because your earlier shots were doing the same thing with text, and people pointed it out, so i offered the font and told you what size to set them at to get rid of that blurry look, the game is meant to have this.. low rez effect.. like it's being made in RM200 or 2003, right? Then why set the fonts and so forth so it ends up looking off like that?

I gave him the fonts.. he has them at the wrong size, i already told him the size for the font's in private message.
It should be 22.
Not sure what size he has them at, but i don't think it's the right size.
Here is a screen shot showing how they should look.

And here is how the fonts for the menu should look.

And those are the menu fonts, they're supposed to be set at 18.
So Message font should be FF4Talk font size 22, and menu is FF4 Menu font size 18.
It's 2 different fonts.
Sorry not trying to hijack, just trying to further help him out.
I offered the fonts and hoped he would have an easier time using them and getting them the right size, plus they're a GBA Final Fantasy font, i figured they would fit better in his game.

Not sure where the font is from, but looks good, looks original to me as well.
And about my last comment.. i was not nitpicking or being an ass about the fact you're using rips, it was just an observation, i just wanted to be clear about that.
I noticed this site has a lot of people that nitpick silly things like "it looks just like bla bla bla, and all you did was bla bla bla" ugh.. i hate those comments.
People been using rips and doing franken spriting for years now.. since before the days of RPG maker 2000, and there is nothing wrong with it, and it looks good.
So good on ya.
Also.. about the comment made before, there is a way to get the sprite not to be stretched and anti-aliased, you gotta find that sweet spot, where it scales perfectly so it does not do that.
It looks to me like the font should maybe be around 18 in size.. maybe.. hard to tell. But play with the font size, and you can make it look more crisp like.
I know cause i have a secret project in the works, and i had to mess with font sizes to get low rez fonts to look right scaled up in the higher rez.
If you might want help of any kind (though i can't help with scripting) lemme know, i would not mind lending a hand... just PM me... if you want i mean.

I'm starting to see those face sets used everywhere lately. For good reason though. They're good. And otherwise underused :3

Also, that monster is badass. Is it an edit?
It's from an RPG that never got released called Treasure of Rudras, from Squaresoft, it's a pretty awesome RPG, and i'm sad it never officially came here.
Actually i am noticing a lot of rips from that game being used in his game.

Is mario himself going to make a cameo or something? Just curious.

Just throwing my 2 cents in...
I been using Victor Saints scripts, and so far i have duplicated perfectly all the battle systems in every 2D FF game.
Maybe try out his stuff?..
Granted right now there are a few little bugs, but he's working on it.
... if i can be of.. any help at all.. just let me know..

RM2K3 needs more like this!
I still love RM2K3, but little things like this made me move on.
I'd love more stuff like this added.
Kinda surprised no one has come up with a means to make the games more wide screen as well.
I might end up using 2K3 again.. simply cause i prefer the low rez pixel art anyhow.
