Hope i don't offend.
But the graphics are clashing rather badly.
You got some things that are high res.. some things that are low res, and your battle back is stretched out wrong.. you can see odd pixelations.
If you like, i could hand some resources over to you to replace some of the ones you got going there?
That background for instance, i already have one made that's stretched out double pixel size, it would look far more pleasing to the eyes.
I was making my own FF game at one point, but kinda threw my hands up, i'm not very good at it..

Personally, i am still trying to make the box of stats and the commands exactly like old school FF games, ya know.. the box with the baddies names.. and then your players stats, and the command box appearing over all that kinda towards the middle of the screen... i have almost figured it out.. almost.
