Marrend plays Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Complete!

The next component of the Elixir of Life, the Ring of Life, is said to lie in the valley of Dagrond. The local lords of this area have been caretakers of Green and Gold Dragons for generations, and have been loyal to AvLee so far. There is a non-zero amount of fear that some may have been tempted by the Necromancers of Dejya, and thus, make our mission more difficult.

I suppose there is, really, only one way to find out if such a fear has any foundation.

Scenario notes/asides
Starting Bonus: 1 Green Dragon, <Boots of Speed>, 3000 Gold
Win Condition: Acquire the Ring of Life (achieved day 4)

Tomorrow, I'm going on a 10 hour hating challenge! 10 hours of NON STOP hating everyone! Wish me luck!

Have you almost started? XD

Design monsters for our turn based RPG

If it's an outright porno game, yeah, that's not gonna get accepted here. If it's a game that includes nudity, there might be corner cases where it could be accepted? I believe Beautiful Escape: Dungeoneer would be such a corner case, but, there might be other examples.

*Edit: The people to talk to if you think there is an outside possibility that your game could be a corner case would be Liberty and/or Frogge.

Concocting the Elixir of Life has come into consideration. Among the artifacts needed to make it is the Ring of Vitality. The region where it supposedly lies is strife with thugs, and other questionable characters. Some of which may have been hired by Dejya to find it.

Naturally, this is where I come in. To find it first before it falls into the hands of those ruffians, or their masters.

Scenario notes/asides
Starting Bonus: 10 Rouges, 2000 Gold, <Equestrian's Gloves>
Win Condition: Acquire the Ring of Vitality (achieved week 2, day 1)

I have trained as a cadet of the Forest Guard for many years, and the time of my graduation draws near. My first test is to clear the valley near Gaia's Crest, with other members of the Forest Guard posing as enemies.

Scenario notes/asides
Starting Bonus: <Spyglass>, 15 Grand Elves, 10 Sharpshooters
Win Condition: Capture all enemy towns and defeat their heroes (achieved day 5)

This campaign studies the rise of Gelu, who was initially introduced to the greater Might and Magic franchise with the Armageddon's Blade campaign that I had already covered. Since he doesn't have an appearance in a main-line game, I find it somewhat difficult to call him a "hero" of the series. Then again, in the context of HoM&M 1/2, I suppose all it took to be a "hero" of the series is to be a notable NPC up to the Xeen games. With this game, it's more of a Word of God scenario.

[RMMZ] Horror Escape RPG could use Artist (Casual)

I dunno about having different expressions, but, if you're interested, we held an event a number of years back that ran the idea of associating characters with different colors that you could look into. There were seven related character-creation threads. The main one that has links to all of them reside here.

I also recall a game called Sanctum Security, Colors of War that ran a similar concept of one one character per color. It's gamepage formerly resided here, but, you might still be able to access at least the demo this way.

The last artifact Sandro needs are the Dead Man's Boots, which lie within Dejya, itself. Clancy is still by my side, and his aide will undoubtedly be most welcome in regards to the search.

Scenario notes/asides
Starting Bonus: <4000 gold>, 15 Wood, 7 Crystal
Win Condition: Bring the Dead Man's Boots to Serenity (achieved week 2, day 3)

Annoyingly, the Dead Man's Boots were behind a Quest Guard that was looking for the Sandals of the Saint. That artifact could be acquired by completing a Seer's Hut quest of delivering 25 Ghost Dragons.

There's two ways this could have happened with how I play. One method would be to have hired a hero aligned with the Necopolis faction, UGE them as normal, then send them to the Seer's Hut, and then to the Quest Gaurd. The other method is to forgo the Seer's Hut entirely, and UGE the Sandals.

By the time I recognized how the map interacted with itself, it was already week 2. This isn't a particularly lengthy time to spend on a map, but, rather than go through the motions of hiring a Necropolis-aligned hero, and what-not, I ended up just UGEing the Sandals, then Town Portal to Serenity. Though, maybe I'm still kinda pissed from "Hurry Up and Wait".

Either way, this campaign is completed! Spent all of 23 in-game days, which translates to a score of 1410 (7th place), and the title of Gorgon.

[RMVX ACE] How to change default attack

Concerning alternatives to the "Attack" skill, I've a few games that do this. Off the top of my head, I can name Myriad Cypher specifically. It removes the "Attack" option from the combat menu altogether, and attaches an "Action" skill category to the game's weapons. This category generally includes an "Attack" skill, however, the cost (in energy/MP) of that skill, and it's speed and effectiveness all vary based on the weapon in question.

Other games that I think do this probably include Bunker 9 and maybe Trail of the Interloper?

[RMVX ACE] BATTLEGAMER: Bunker Survival is pretty complicated under the hood...

In regards to ArcoMage Ace, it was almost the exact opposite. While it's probably still a bit of a mess if one actually looks at the code, I didn't expect that it would have only taken me two weeks, or so, of dev-time. Considering the complexities of the game, I figured it would have taken much, much, longer!

I no longer recall how long it took to put together Myriad Cypher, but, I'm proud of what I did for it, even if some of the underlying systems there are something of a mess. The only awkwardness players would experience is the map-boundaries being in effect.

My other accomplishment that would be a mess to look at would probably be many of the underlying systems in Baclyae Revolution. Darigaaz, I will never forget how headache-inducing it was to get Unites to work, and I will never do something like that again, even if I was paid large sums of money for it.
