Upcoming Site Update
author=WIP link=topic=3255.msg64286#msg64286 date=1235977709
On Wednesday, the site is going to be down from about 7:30 PM Eastern time until sometime I don't know. It will be going down while we update the website code and make some updates on the server itself. This is to get the site running on Django 1.0 which should alleviate most of the frustrating text encoding issues on the site. You know these by what frequently shuts sections of the site down.
After the update, there will probably be some bugs. If you encounter one, please check back with this thread and post about it if it hasn't already been stated.
Thank you and have a nice day. No, it isn't RMN3.
Since I assume the 'sometime I don't know' could conceivably mean any undetermined length of time, what are the chances of it being more than a couple of days, WIP? Just want a ballpark since I had originally planned to submit more things this week.
And thanks for the update!

Little do you guys know, I'm cataloging all of your answers for later archiving, you sick fucks.
Feld, bro, I think you're social skills are improving. <3
name your weird fetish
Since obviously the topic of 'weird fetish' has (d)evolved into 'what type of woman do you find sexually appealing', I'll chuck in my entry:
MILFS
Over 30, voluptuous, hedonistic.
Adds a whole new meaning to the phrase "Yo mamma!"
EDIT: To throw out a non-sexual or non-grrrrrl entry, I have a weird fetish for cosplaying

Hi, I'm new here!
Well to RMN, Sora. A Zelda RPG, hmmm? Will it contain a traditional RPG battle system? Or more of an ABS?
RMN Twitter account
Apparently, Twitter is only insanely popular with serious losers those who live on social networking sites. :-\
How do some of you complete games so fast?
author=kentona link=topic=3215.msg63516#msg63516 date=1235577857That's why professional developers create a full design document, then follow it like it's the game's Bible. There is some room and time for adding tweaks or what-not, but for the most part, if it's not planned ahead of time, it's shuffled off to 'the next game'.I need to do more of this.
That's going to be the topic of my article this week. May take two weeks, since it's a doozy.

As for me, the reason Sore Losers has taken me this long is because I am constantly polishing the features I have added.
That's a pitfall a lot of independent game designers fall into, F-G. They keep wanting to add and polish features not originally planned on, and before they realize it, they are a month, a year, three years, behind schedule. There has to be a point where you say 'Okay, that's it. If it's not perfect, it never will be.'

I suppose people who finish their games are more reasonable with their ambitions than I am and are fully aware of whether it can be done in RPG Maker, and they just get it done by following through on their concepts.
Well, we can't all be cutting edge visionaries like you, Ciel. :)
Hello~
Hey Heimdall! I think I remember you from Amaranth, correct? Welcome to RMN, and thanks for listing Lost Legacy in one of your top lists. I hope to see great things from you here. Take care and have a great day!
Action Game Maker Features Revealed

Uh, coding and scripting are pretty much the same thing, man. You are splitting hairs. C# could be used as the internal game code probably just as easily as the rest of those languages.
Sounds good to me, WIP. I'll concede the point then. :)
