Reasons why I don't like this article:

1. The article is entitled "Why plagiarism matters", but that question is never answered.

...except for the whole "creating an original product", "disrespects the players", "divides the community" and stuff, sure.

2. Not only the question is not answered, but you say it shouldn't be answered: "I shouldn't have to explain why plagiarism is bad. If you don't feel that way, then an RMN article probably isn't going to change your mind."

"Why it matters" and "Why it's bad" are two separate questions.

3. You start the article by saying that everyone steals things, and that's an unspoken rule among gamemakers, making it sound like plagiarism DOESN'T matter.
4. You start the article by saying that we steal graphics and sound, but it is ok because you can make something original out of it, which is story and gameplay. This is wrong because:
4.1. Making something original out of stolen stuff doesn't make stealing okay;
4.2. If you steal graphics and music, your game is still heavily unoriginal, no matter how original your dialogs are;
4.3. You say that what really matters is story and gameplay, not graphics and music; it's not true.
4.4. Even if story was more important than graphics, it doesn't make ripping stories more serious than ripping graphics.

I made zero value judgments as to what I personally think of people who do use rips, commercial music, and the like in this particular article. I very purposefully avoided it. My personal opinion of it is completely irrelevant to the point I'm trying to make. You're filling in what I think about it because of the facts I'm stating.

5. Everybody is pretending to make a big deal out of plagiarism, when they're actually making a big deal out of Max, but they're too ashamed to admit it.

I'm not even sure what this means. Did you even read the part where I talk about Legion Saga and Kamau?

I'd say so, though the source material is popular enough for people to know what it is and what's happening, even sans justification.

Sorry McDohl, Wal-Mart has provided provided healthcare coverage options for part-time employees for over 20 years. This benefit is subsidized by about 70%, so yeah, I guess it's not entirely free. But there are a lot of options; when I left they had over 5 coverage plans available in most areas with costs for a single individual starting as low as $11 a pay period.

Also, over 74% of the Wal-Mart work force is full-time anyways.

You should probably pick on a place like Target that has worse benefits and a higher percentage of part-time employees. I guess they are supposed to be cool, though.
