I'm guessing Jimmy watched some scary movies with his uncle and brother and it corrupted his poor little mind.
Well, I think we can be quite sure that nothing's going to be scarier here than the ending of the game.

I've been told it's a conditional (as you call it: "pure") turn-based battle system, so you can choose your actions for the following turn as if you had all the time in the world, then you start the turn and all battle participants automatically execute their actions based on their agility. If this battle system had featured ATB without a proper wait function, I wouldn't have considered buying this game.
OK, thanks! Yeah, I'm also not a big fan of ATB: it can work sometimes, but is usually inferior to regular turn-based, or conditional/simultaneous action systems.

SnowOwl, that name sounds familiar.
He's best known for developing It Moves and Miserere, which are some of the most popular horror games on here, apparently. I haven't played them yet, since I often tend to focus on the more obscure stuff first. I did play his After Man and hated it, but that was his earliest game, I think. Either way, he handled my negative review of it well, so that's fine. And of course, The Great Empty still looks very promising, and I hope he finishes it.
EDIT: And returning to an earlier topic: somehow, it still shows up in the "recommended downloads" section:
Since this is a thread about giving feedback to improve RMN, after all, may I suggest that the code for "users, who like this also like" is amended not to include:
1) Games that don't exist on the website, like above.
2) Games that do not have downloads available.
3) Games that have been cancelled. (This is not essential, but will probably be helpful regardless.)

Oh man, people keep misspelling Aeyr's name wrong that I'm starting to get paranoid that I misspelled it somewhere in the game.
Well, the "incorrect" spelling actually does occur in the real world. For instance, in The Land Down Under, the great red stone in the Northern Territory is normally referred to by the Aboriginal name Uluru now, but the old name of Ayer's Rock still tends to be written alongside it for continuity purposes.
Release of director's cut version
Great! I wanted to review this when I first saw it come out, but then real life got in the way and I basically stopped visiting the website. It's good that a better version came out in the meantime, and I intend to be playing and reviewing it pretty soon!

May I ask who you are referring to? And on a related note, I was surprised to discover SnowOwl and shayoko ended up banned, since they both seemed to have solid, stable presences back when I joined. Are these permabans, or not?
President Trump
During the official "Azure Flame" New Year's Special on Channel One here some comedian was doing a gregarious Trump impersonation. I learnt that the way people think an American accent sounds in Russian is very similar to the one everyone thinks Russian accent sounds in English. It was kinda fun, alongside the more self-deprecating jokes about oil prices and meldonium.
