@SmileWithStyle
Wow, you learned your lesson the hard way... ; D but, I see.
I'm playing on medium difficulty level I think, and I still find it really dangerous in the labyrinth.. I have to retreat often, just to be safe...

Nebelsoft's dungeon of creation

Thanks Dudesoft; and Joseph, glad you like those guys (and girls) : ) Maybe eventually I will work on that idea..

Waaaa that's super cute Q_Q
Ahh I really like that tileset too, it's not like any I've seen so far! The grass especially is great.

Ah, thank you, accha.
That grass even exists as an animated autotile, where the grass blades dance gently in the breeze. : )

and Etrian Odyssey Untold

Cool, what's your current level? ; D

Thanks for the support

Thanks for all the support offered here.

I feel like I'm still relatively new here so why not make a delayed introduction post.

Although, there is not much to write about me. I (Ayu) represent NebelSoft, a small international development team who works on indie games for multiple platforms.
I also do freelance work as 2D pixel artist and character designer for other indie - game developers.
I have been casually into game making for about 7 years and, on a more professional level for 3 years. However, I personally, am not really a programmer, mostly just a designer. : )

I went to YAG animation school in Tokyo (2006) and I appreciate all things artful, beautiful and creative / unusual.

Thx again, and
I hope that I can be of help to some of you, too sometime.

Fast Times at Aremen High: Sign-Ups

Will there be a Nebelsoft Harpy in the game...? XD *lol* just wondering...
; P

The Screenshot Topic Returns

the castle...(?) looks ok to me. : )
the weaponry.. umm.. well the colors are too bright to be "old"... and must it really be so big..?

(Also, if the weaponry has been abandoned, why didn't random people steal all the weapons?)

Art Principles in Game Graphics: Making Pretty Stuff

I'd love to visit their studio and meet their graphic artists in person, to observe their daily routine ; )
also see what instructions they get from the director, etc.

some other Vanillaware games I own: Muramasa on PSVita, Dragon's Crown on Vita and PS3, and for DS KumatanChi ( at least I think that was Vanillaware, too.. )

Just started playing Klonoa: Door to Phantomile on my PSOne emulator.

Holy shit it's good. It may look like mainstream kiddy platformer on the package, but it's actually legitimately challenging, rewards you for your intuition, and is just full of charm, which I absolutely love with any platformer.

I'm also surprised by how much depth there is to its story, compared to most other platformers I've played, that is.
CONTAINS SPOILERS:
The game took on a pretty dark tone once the main villain's henchman, Joka, killed Klonoa's grandfather. It was pretty gut-wrenching to watch.
I forgot about that game! I played the demo back in the day and LOVED it. I need to hunt it down!

Heh, I think I still got Klonoa boxed somewhere... ; ) (or maybe I just had it rented...? ) loved it, too.. it's so long ago, but I remember beating it in 1-2 days... maybe my favorite platformer, or at least one of my favorites...

Legend of Dragoon was one of my favorite RPGs next to FF7... what charming and nice characters... and beatbox-music in battles... <3 (also nice battle system)

Now playing.... 3DS Etrian Odyssey 1, the remake... Millenium... Girl? or something like that... ' 3 ') I like re-exploring the labyrinth in more polished graphics, with 3D animated monsters... story mode is kinda generic, but okay.
