Hi I'm late to the desktop party. Here is more Windows 7 for you.
The new taskbar is the best thing ever, very flexible.

Looking for a mapper, for Love and War!
I don't know, Blindmind's mapping and graphical style are vastly different than what's seen on Act I. It would be the oddest thing if Act II just suddenly jumped to Suikoden chipsets with lighting effects and birds flying everywhere.
Whoever you pick to do it, make sure that they can adapt to the style of your game so things can feel at least a little consistent. If you guys can do that then cool, but don't pick somebody just because their own game looked really pretty.

Play magazine interviews Luke Wacholtz of "The Way"
Lands, what's gotten over you all!?
I thought this interview could have used more substance rather than having a whole page about the last episode of the game that only rabid fans of the Lun forums would care about. The game has a fascinating story, but I would have liked to hear about the other design aspects and thoughts that went into his mind during production. To me, that's always better than hearing the ending of a game. Just judging from Lun's responses (most notably the Rhue question, which was great), I could tell more substance could have come out of the interview if you asked more in depth questions.
Still cool though, I liked it.

Black Sigil for the DS -- it's like FF6 and CT had a baby
It looks like they either had multiple environment designers, or the single one they do have is having issues making dungeon tiles. The towns look good, but the dungeons look abysmal. Ripping from this game would be the dumbest thing you could ever do, it doesn't look very pleasing visually.
They could have also increased the speed of the ATB. In the recent videos, it's slower than most RM games. If they were going to copy Chrono Trigger, they should have at least got this right.
And if it gets delayed one more time it won't ever come out.

Can't people think for themselves? Come on, Lennon. Ya copied the interior of the houses in Saturn Valley. Also, the fact that the guy has an afro annoys the crap outta me. I HATE afros almost as much as I hate the people who grow them. I want more games with original graphics. Not JRPG stuff. GOD. You people are annoying. But, I do like your map, East.
Let me see your game.
What Are You Working On?
Working with Ranmaster on my project. Some of you know who he is if you watched his videos on youtube. I recently recruited him and he's doing a fabulous job on animations for my characters. I used to do them myself, but he is WAY better than me.
Here is a progress report on what he's been doing:
This should speed up the development process quite a bit.

Dungeon Design ~Where is Brickroad when you need him?~
Oh, so this is similar to what Mr. Magi did with the Yggdrasil Spring and Phantasmagician Manor. It isn't exactly the same, but similar. If you can't figure it out, ask him.
Dungeon Design ~Where is Brickroad when you need him?~
Yes, I also map out my dungeons on paper in order to get the best results. It's amazing what the difference is once you do that, because you're able to plot specific points and know what each area does before you need to actually make it. You can also make notes on the side, etc.
For puzzles, I guess it depends on what you're really trying to do with your dungeon. When I come to stumps, I usually try games that have lots of puzzle influence in them (Alundra, Lufia, Wild Arms) and see some of their designs. Unfortunately those games are more of the interactive puzzle type (moving objects and using tools), they won't touch on what you're trying to do here. I don't even think Brickroad's tutorial touches on it (it's because we all hate math). But I think Craze's idea might be of some help.

Whisper of a Rose
Where have I heard your name before, Twin Matrix?
Anyway, I posted on GW about this and saw this on a few other forums. I adore the art and music, I messed with an army of one when I heard it on newgrounds to see if it fit my music style but it didn't. I'm waiting to see what other tracks you've got in here. And (asking again) the art on the banner up top, did you do that?
Also I hope you get some success with this! I won't miss this one. =)
