Just finished Yahtzee Croshaw's 'Jam' a bloody brilliant book!
This game is hard.
I should mention that it was done with a single character's set of actions actually, so it could have easily been a solo battle. (gotta love those aptitude points). The other party members didn't get a chance to do anything.
The multiple saves thing seems dubious as an intended top-down implementation but as a practical reality I already save to every slot anyway so I'm not too fussed.

Can't go a day in Rm World without seeing something Final Fantasy related. It's kinda funny.

Yeah, guess I'm officially doing this at this point. My project is titled Wine & Roses and may or may not include three female exorcists, an aristocratic skeleton lord, and anachronistic technology (re: guns). Also, a dark industrial soundtrack.
Oh, and plenty of bastardized and pretentious French/Latin/German phrases. Can't do neo-gothic without that.
