Fragments of Mind

Thank you all! Yeah it is a bit short but I wanted to reach a deadline I've set for myself. Any feedback will be considered and worked into the next build or final game!

And yes, I do need to post a Christine art, I'll do that soon!

Fragments of Mind: MV Demo

Not yet put up as a download, the download link will still link to the original RM2k3 version!

Ever Blue Review

I'll admit that information about being able to shoot backwards with the diagonal shooting gun was helpful. It allowed me to beat the game in under 3 minutes.

Speedrun strats!!

Completely unintended but wow that is super fast!

Ever Blue Review

Ah yes this was an old one, I think this was the first time I tried making custom graphics for an entire project (even if small), so I didn't really know what I was doing. Possibly a dumb idea, it was a code-off so that shouldn't have been something I should have put any time into! The tiles are more top down for something that should be a sidescroller, so it isn't really coherent.

There's a coding error too, so if you take the triple shot, it actually affects enemies backwards in the diagonals as well!

I don't wish to remake this one but if I were to make a space shooter, it'd def be in another engine and not RM. Back then I think we just wanted to see what we could do in RM.

Rubi: Fire Spirit Review

Thank you for the review!

AAa I forgot about that graphical glitch! It was something I knew about before but had completely forgotten it recently, once I get a free chance I'll try to fix that!

Mapping Issue:
- Whooops, I think I didn't test out backtracking on that map... another thing on the to fix list for later! thank you for that!

However, I do agree some of the maps are a bit too narrow for the player to really be able to dodge or maneuver, particularly in the cave. I can go back in and update this when I do the teleport fix as well.

Also agreed, should be some shop to restock healing items. I'll keep these all in mind, but still appreciate the review and that you got to try it!

Rubi Review

Thank you for the review!! Short lil game that idk how I managed to do in 3 days but glad you enjoyed!

Rubi: Fire Spirit

ALL THE VIBES!

It's interesting that it's from 2015, It is a bit sadder tone and I think I was probably more depressed that year judging by this! I may put up a blog post talking more about the dev process and maybe why it took so long for me to finally get around to posting it but thank you all for the comments!

Game Jams and Events - Your Experience

I did a few games as a result of gamejam events! I think it does help to try out different ideas, try out new things and stuff.

I think also, sometimes working on the same thing for too long burns me out of it and I need to switch to something else. It's not that you HAVE to do gamejams if you don't want to, but if you find the idea interesting, I definitely think there are positives to it and it isn't merely a distraction from what you really want to make. I think sometimes you can even take ideas or techniques from it and apply it!

The game with no nc̶̬̀o̴̟͑r̸̰̕r̷̞̽u̵̳͊p̸͙̈t̶̖̆e̶̘͌d̷͐ͅ Review

It was a fun game for sure, I'm biased but I could definitely tell the effort that went into it!

At first I was expecting the game to be shorter than it was so I saw the skill tree and just thought it was like "haha we're showing the idea of a skill tree but obviously the game won't be long enough to let you make use of it"... and I was wrong. There were upgrades to previous skills, passive skills, stat boosts, new skills, and the skill trees were unique shapes according to the characters as well. I did not expect that!

I'm terrible and I did actually grind to max out characters skill tree, and certain skills or passives are definitely powerful. I saw a shark, tried to fight it, got wrecked by it, but was able to go back to it later and destroy it and get rewarded a nice item for it. The locations are based on our OCs games, which was fun to see, seeing the characters interact, having the character references and other references to us was nice too!

It is one of the few games where dogs sleep horizontally on your bed, and that is important! Glad you got to try it too!

As doggos do, they think ur bed is theirs and take up all the room
