[RM2K3] Actor as arrays - insufficient Memory

It would be nice to have a list of which database things tax the system the most.

I have been getting a bit of glitch during battles sometimes where the 'Hit' sound effect will play before another skill or attack's sound effect and I believe this has something to do with the shit load of animations I have (over 3000 here).

I think the more you add to any part of the database the more memory etc you will require to run the game without any issues..

You guys ok with the Corona Virus/covid19?

The county where I live is looking to go "Green" by Friday. Which translates to something along the lines of, "Yes, you still need to wear masks and practice social distancing. However, certain venues can now open at 50% client capacity".

Pretty sure "restaurants" are among such venues, but, I'm afraid I don't know too many additional specifics about what all can re-open (or otherwise allowed to become more active) with "Green" status.

You can go to quite a few places right now as long as you have a mask, a brick, and a crowd of people from what I've been seeing everywhere.

Looks like they found the cure: riots!

In all seriousness, be safe out there boys.

How do you stop going back??

This is especially true for any "art evolution" that your game experiences during development if you're doing custom assets. No matter what, your game's early areas will look nothing like later ones. So I strongly recommend waiting until much later in the project to redo your graphics: tackle it all at once, so that art evolution becomes less of an issue. Absolutely resist the urge to do this more than once.

I wish I had thought of this a couple of years ago. It seems like a no-brainer now that you say it.

"Close enough for government work!"

Lol as someone who has worked in the government I can tell you right now that this is not something you should strive for hahah. But I do feel all your other points, Sooz.

How do you stop going back??

To anyone working on/who has worked on a game for an extended period, I'm wondering how you deal with the issue of going back and redoing certain things you might have done earlier in the game that you've figured out a better way of managing later on after more experience. I'm talking either redrawing things, or remaking entire events from scratch?

Do you just leave the early game in your projects as is? Or do you go back numerous times to redo things? When is it enough??

One example is I've redrawn projectile weapon animations three times now. 100+ guns times 5+ characters is a lot of redrawing...

I'm wondering how the rest of you deal with things like this.

Silent Insanity 2

The password can be found in one of the secret endings. Happy hunting :)

[RM2K3] Rpg Maker Maniacs Patch (for official version)

That's very cool. I was a bit worried for a second.

Thanks!

[RM2K3] Rpg Maker Maniacs Patch (for official version)

Might be a dumb question but does anyone know if the Maniac's Patch increases the limit of switches past 9999?

[RM2K3] Custom Chipsets and Battle Backgrounds

No rest for the wicked. :p

[RM2K3] Custom Chipsets and Battle Backgrounds

Hey guys, I'm looking for someone with experience making their own chipsets for RM2K3. A few things I'd like are a brand new forest, a crypt, a futuristic city, and the inside of a futuristic building..

As for the battle backgrounds I would be looking for a forest, desert, swamp (in water), and the interior of various locations.. more info will be provided if there's any interest here.

Obv this is paid work also.
