Phoenix Mafia: Online Turnabout

You know, I tried to go back and read the posts from his point of view, but I don't see it. I'm not Cave. I can't read like Cave. I can't read like LockeZ. I can't read like Liberty. Only Cave can read like Cave. Only LockeZ can read like LockeZ. Only Liberty can read like Liberty. We can try the best we can to read like each other, but he won't even give us a point of reference. He's saying, "This post is scum." He's saying, "Liberty sounds different when she's town." He's saying, "She's only pretending to help." What he's not saying is that the vast majority of the people in this game have never played a mafia game with Liberty. Reading past threads and actually interacting are two different things. What is he pointing out; the lack of banana references?

The real problem with this line of thinking is that it implies Liberty is going to be a static person with only two modes of play-- mafia and town, which is simply not true, because she's not a robot. It's been a long time since we all played mafia together and Liberty's responsibilities and general position and life have changed-- moderating forums tends to make a person bitter (hell, the entirety of RMN tends to turn me into this guy:
)

I have played mafia with Liberty in the past, and while she has been a tad more aggressive than usual, it's reflective of her new duties, and besides that general quirk, she reads town to me.

AAAAAAAAAAAALRRIGHT WE NEED TO REVERSE OUR THINKING

yes I am here

I will admit that it was Cave who first pointed out wildwes. LockeZ has dramatically jumped down on my scumdar because he failed to take a roleclaim, however the roleclaim itself was a misread and taking it could have come across as scummy in the long run. There is a second reason as to why he's gotten lower on my radar. I will also say that I've skimmed the last 80 post and will be doing a more detailed read through after I've actually done some work for the day.

Anyway, I think we're heading in the wrong direction in terms of scumhunting, and I think there are a number of people who are doing nothing but waffle. MajoracanKing, for instance.

also im about to head to bed and NOW you guys get active? really?

Phoenix Mafia: Online Turnabout

I will have to double check that, but I know my (albeit mild) scum read wasn't unfounded.

Phoenix Mafia: Online Turnabout

Yeah, that struck me as weird and did considerably lessen my suspicions. LockeZ can be particularly aggressive even in normal forum standings, so this may just be his playstyle.

Phoenix Mafia: Online Turnabout

I'm aware of that. I'm also aware that if I get too triggerhappy and objection vote the wrong guy, we won't have any more confirmed town tomorrow (or confirmed scum!) because I won't be able to investigate (unless we have an officer).

As it stands, LockeZ is on my scumdar. MajoracanKing and wildwes are also up there. I'd like to hear the prosecution's thoughts on this.

Yeah, but as we revealed yesterday, my client is not immune to nightkills or lynches, and even if I don't say which one is my client, the mafia may decide to kill one them so I can't happily conspire with them in the detention center.

Phoenix Mafia: Online Turnabout

I'll add that there's no reason for me to reveal either of said town roles. My client obviously knows that I know they're town, and I've got no reason to put the other one at risk.

Dudesoft, you may want to read the past few posts before you proceed to insert your foot inside your mouth.

This is the most Edgeworth thing you've said. I think I'm in love.

Anyway, joking aside, yes, I can confirm two town players. Judging by the direction the thread has gone in my absence and my discussions with my client, my suspicions stand exactly the same. I'm going to double check the evidence before I make any moves.

H-HEY, THAT IS NOT WHAT IS GOING ON HERE

dammit libby I was going to make a whole 'so is it ok for me to start flirting with the prosecution yet' joke and you have RUINED IT
