RAMZA'S PROFILE
I've spent a large part of my 26 years designing video games, mostly in my head. When I discovered RPG Maker 2000, I finally had a medium to put my thoughts down into, and I did.
At the time of its release, Mana Conquest was massive - even a ten hour long game was insane in those days, and the graphics kind of sucking was generally overlooked, due to the scope of the project.
Several years since, and I'm a bit embarrassed concerning how bad the first game really was. I've tried to fix that in the sequel, but between when I started, and now, there have been three new RPG Makers, and since they don't allow backwards compatibility, I've been stuck on RM2k3. Shameful.
I've come too far to quit now, though.

Whats the worst thing you ever saw in high school?
Y'know I went to a school that we all called the 'super school'. They made one giant school in the area so they could ferry all the kids going to three different old highschools to it. The three groups of kids didn't get along so well in the first year, there was a fight at the nearby convenience store (which we were allowed to go to on lunch and breaks) every few days. I never witnessed any of those fights personally though, and by most standards they were pretty tame.
Probably the most gruesome thing I saw was actually in bio class, where when we were told to dissect the frogs, one girl got up, ran out the door and puked all the way down the hallway to the bathroom. More funny than gruesome really, we all had a huge laugh over it too afterwards.
There was also a fight in which the defender was jumped by his locker, and ended up slamming the attackers head into it several times. when the attacker went down, the defender slammed his head in the locker door repeatedly until he stopped moving. Ambulance was called, but as far as I know, the guy wasn't badly hurt or anything.
High school was boring. I suppose, if I was there more than 40% of the time I might've seen something more interesting.

"Selling Feature" of your game
I'd like to think it's the story, since for the most part, the graphics are standard, and the coding is pretty average. The musical score used to be a selling point that I would plug all the time, but the guy who composed all the music for me left the community many years back to persue a career composing for films, swanky job, that. Anyways, while it's awesome, I'd have to say storyline, interaction between characters, and character development would be big on my list of selling points.

How often do you run from battles?
I never ever run from a fight in any rpg. Even if I'm out of healing items and almost dead, I'd rather take the loss in dying, having to reload or whatever than lose out on that extra experience, money, or items.
Any time I think about running, I'll remember games like Final Fantasy (the first one, for the nes) where if you started running away, it'd get successively harder to run each time, until you ended up taking longer to run than you would have to kill the monsters.
In a game where there is never random encounters (xenosaga, chrono cross, lunar, etc) I will fight everything on a map, unless it's already been shown to me that I shouldn't fight a specific enemy.
I generally end up a little overlevelled, but no complaints there, really. There have been times where I've been raped by bosses in those situations too, I take that as a challenge.

RM2k(3) lovers, FIGHT!
I am one of those people who prefer to use rm2k3 over rmvx/rmxp. I would say it's for nostalgia sake, but really, it's because it took me forever to make as much on my game as I have already, and without being able to import the rm2k3 game into a new engine, I won't be changing engines. For me, this shows promise because it would allow just that, someone like me who's tied to using this maker being able to have access to higher end scripting and all that other bullshit that the new makers boast having.
Your First Game
first game was called 'firey blade' (complete with misspelling). it was a 20 minute long game, with no story, virtually no dialogue, and starred all of the original RTP cast, complete with their default names. You started in a town with no direction, and no info, and later discover that the elder's daughter has been kidnapped, so you wander off to find her. After finding her in the next town over, with no fight, you fall into a dungeon with an encounter rate so high you'll not have the patience to walk all the way through the maze to the other side. If you managed to get through, you'd come to the part of the game where I started adding various final fantasy characters (Beatrix from FF9 comes to mind, probably cloud too). don't remember much about it after that. Trust me, it was bad. and I showed it to all my 12 year old friends like I was proud.
