RAMZA'S PROFILE
I've spent a large part of my 26 years designing video games, mostly in my head. When I discovered RPG Maker 2000, I finally had a medium to put my thoughts down into, and I did.
At the time of its release, Mana Conquest was massive - even a ten hour long game was insane in those days, and the graphics kind of sucking was generally overlooked, due to the scope of the project.
Several years since, and I'm a bit embarrassed concerning how bad the first game really was. I've tried to fix that in the sequel, but between when I started, and now, there have been three new RPG Makers, and since they don't allow backwards compatibility, I've been stuck on RM2k3. Shameful.
I've come too far to quit now, though.

In regards to the screenshots topics
post=118760
If I were going to release a video, I'd make a blog post with <youtube> tags - that way people can see it and comment on it AND it'd be associated with my gameprofile. Win win win.
That's what I ended up doing.
Frankly I've seen no use for screenshot topics, really. I maps blow. I know it. They're not the strong point of my game, there isn't much point to showing them off. Some people get off on that kind of thing, and that's their business, but if all the topic will become is a derailled flamefest everytime, WIP is right to have done something about it.
Besides, a screenshot system built into the site away from the forum is a much more... 'refreshing?' idea. I think anyway.
RM RPGs...you have beaten
post=115511Ramza. Lol. I know for a fact I reviewed 'Space Convicts'. If you were around long enough ago to remember that, gold star for you.
What was your handle on RPG2knet?
Actually, I had an account named RamzaBeoulve before that too, but something happened and I couldn't log in to it ever again. Then I disappeared for a while and came back and used the name Ramza instead. That's the story of me. That was in like 2001-2002.
Favorite RPGmaker game?
Legion Saga was definately one of my favorites, as far as I can recall, it's the only rm2k game I've ever replayed. It was that good.
Where does your stuff come from?
Hard to say where my ideas originally came from. The story for my game (albeit a lot less fleshed out or written down) has been floating around inside my head since I was eight or nine years old. It manifested itself in random drawings, odd little short stories I typed up on my ancient computer, little games I played with action figures/lego with my little brother, and a whole bunch of totally random thought processes when I would walk to the store or have time to sit around and do nothing after a test in school or something.
It's fair to say that some of it (potentially more than I'd like to admit) would have been shaped from games I played in my earlier years. Maybe even from anime that I watched much later. For the most part, however, when I actually turned it into a more polished form, I made an effort to avoid copying things as much as possible, but in the end, the concept is pretty cliche, and no matter how original I tried to make it, it'll always be a cliche. Probably just because when I was a kid, the games I enjoyed the most were the ones that became the cliche. Heh.

Captcha
I haven't seen a captcha thing at all since I started posting here... unless it's new. It wasn't there when I posted a few days ago though.
edit:
unless my idea of a captcha is different than yours, there isn't one as far as I can tell. I posted this without any problems.

How did you find rpgmaker.net and why did you stick around?
Alucard mentioned something about this place on msn to me. I think he linked me to a hacked rm2k3 exe or something that was hosted here before as well. Regardless, I liked what I saw and decided to stick around.
The Gamers
I'll admit that I have watched it, (or the first one anyway) and I did find it quite humorous. But I won't say that it's on the same level as monty python. I mean, I am quite a big D&D nerd, but apparently nothing compared to you if you think this movie is THAT good.
What is your all time favorite video game character
Yeah, so I've never played Diablo II.
yes, actually.
I had diablo II back in the day, but I could never get into it because the whole game was "click this to move here, click on this to use it, click on the mob to hit it, rinse and repeat." Sure there was a lot of customization and stuff, but I never really got into the whole system, so I never got to enjoy the finer points of it.
another game I played at around the same time, Icewind Dale, had a point and click interface, but it didn't involve spam clicking on everything continuously. I enjoyed it much more.
