For Chi-Yim, such a change would alter its concept; it being able to use its extreme control over its power to always hit with low-accuracy moves like Focus Blast or Thunder, and is a neat way to make a Special Attacking fighting type a thing.
Yeaaah that was kind of the point of it, not to mention it would distinguish itself from Medicham a little. The idea of no guard on her was to take an aspect of Wing Chung Kung Fu in which fighters would practice blindfolded, having to sort of feel out the essence of their opponent (which is why their dex states that they are blind/have poor eyesight). I'm mostly fine with what you decide on, though.

Crabammer - Proposed name change to Crushtomp, to keep the name from being one letter off from its (likely) signature move
Alternatively, I propose, Crustomp (Crustacean/Stomp) :P

Otherwise, I mostly agree with what's already been brought up. Also Plugla is a great concept and Pokemon has never been divorced from goofy concepts.

Wyrm Warriors Review

this would have been so awesome if it became a thing.

A Half-n-Half Affair

This looks so precious! I'm going to download.

Smoking cigarettes sucks sweaty donkey balls

It's both disheartening and interesting to hear these stories of addiction, especially knowing that the popularity of smoking and the prevalence of drug addiction is largely a societal problem, characteristic of ones in which people live largely isolated, stress-filled existences and need an escape to alleviate it.

That aside, Superstroke, have you sought counseling about your addiction, or considered support groups? I'm definitely not an authority on the matter, since I've never smoked or had any drug addictions, but I think the worst way you can fight this on an individual basis.

What I like about checking back on this site is seeing how little has changed and unfortunately I don't mean that in a good sense.

I calmed down, cooled off, and came back- read the forums and realized it was a lot better than I remember.

My point isn't that it shouldn't have been considered, but that its foolish to see it as an example that the site hasn't changed at all over the years. I can't speak for what the moderation took from the incident. Whether or not you personally would like to see her advice considered is moot- I have plenty of ideas I think would make the site better, and I've suggested them, but none have been considered beyond the initial interaction. It's not a damning review even if you know the person closely.

It makes me happy knowing that I piss you off. It really does. :)

This is the kind of attitude that helps literally nobody. Unless your definition of helping is turning this into the same shitstorm that hit the mascot topic.
fair enough.

EDIT: and yeah maybe one thing I can do to change is actually use the ignore function of this site but idk I feel like it would give that clown too much pleasure.

So, I'm the only one keeping you from here?

I win!

I'm glad you are admitting you are an insufferable idiot, let alone an active contributor to everything that could possibly be wrong with this community. I appreciate your honesty.

Keep in mind, one person (who was new at the time) trying to restructure the entirety of a community isn't some guarantee that it'll happen. Did she deserve what happened? Fuck no. But to act like RMN is at fault for not acting on the advice of one short-term member is absurd, frankly.

People are bawking at you because you took the time to make a status which basically just says you don't like the place. It's not taking action, it's not helping, it's barely doing anything but making you a target and forcing people to feel bad for keeping you away even if it isn't their fault at all.

I mean, besides that, telling people they're missing the point isn't gonna help either. I think you know that- you've seen the drama, you've seen the fights, so don't try to start one by prickling people about it, or you're just contributing to the issue you want resolved. You can't resolve it by simply coming around to say "I'm still not here".

I dunno. The recent drama in the mascot thread had a quick resolution, which to me is pretty new for RMN. The mods did stuff, the people involved did stuff. It was an improvement. I don't feel great about taking an isolated example and playing off the whole site over it.

I guess this is fair overall, but like, at a minimum, I would have liked to see it considered? Nevermind that the assertion that not acting on a "short-term" member's advise is reasonable (why do you think she was short-term to begin with? And idk about you guys but if I was running a site, and a new member was left with an awful impression of it, I would at least consider that something needs to change about this place), what steps has this site taken to improve its community atmosphere? What even got you to come back as a regular member here again?

on the bright side though ratty, at least you don't need to read corf's posts anymore

i saw your early monster rpg stuff on twitter, how's that going? clamtot is my jam(tot)

ha! Glad you liked it. xD
I think I'm miles away from being able to code my own tactics game, though, so that idea just exists on paper.

If you're interested in what I'm doing right now, I've signed up for a Mega Man - themed level design contest and I'm devoting my efforts towards polishing my level for it. After that, I have a SimRPG Maker project that is in its infancy (Dyhalto's FireRMNblem game got me to try it out) and another project with MV.

... And crap I still have that IGMC project that I missed the deadline for and is currently lying dormant. I'm an organized person.

IF and I were dicks in the mascot thread a few days ago. But we got scolded for it, and then AFAIK the subject was dropped, so that's basically business as usual for all the fora I've ever been to. Actually, better than usual, because it didn't turn into a pages-long derail. :V

Also FTR I apologized in PM because being a dick is a shitty thing to do vOv

Wow you actually got the context of this status and it's honestly big of you to actually admit your mistake and apologize. I hope IF did the same thing.

Also, for the rest of you, it's pretty wild how the first take away from this vent-status you all get is "I'm leaving because I'm better than all y'all pleebs" and not "I'm not confident that this is a safe or healthy environment for me or my friends when one of the first threads I see coming back already has the same kind of belittling drama I've witnessed years ago with this site and I am personally exhausted with community environments like that."

Like, I honestly want to like this community? There is still a bit of nostalgia that has me taking a peek once every few months? (That and I recently reset my hard drive and most of my old projects were erased, so I came back recently to try to re-download them once I even remember they exist with my scatter-brained ass)I just don't want to put up with the rotten baggage again.

And Unity, I'm pretty much reminded of when wetmattos gave her excellent suggestions on how to restructure how this community a while back and idk I haven't seen a whole lot of evidence that it was put into action? I'm sorry if I sound like this difficult grump but I just feel like I and a few others have already given our thoughts on the matter, I just want to see how it was ever implemented.

Like this place still has the same kind of people who are irreconcilably terrible at treating others with respect and in the end it's really doesn't feel worth it to return here as a regular member again, on my end.
