Language in Games
Everybody swears in life. In games where I'm trying to capture that essence of life, I would use it, regardless if it's 16-bit style or whatnot (it would have to be a more gritty style, though, nothing like Tina of the Stars :P). I agree with karsuman in which you really need to know how to do it. Placing the word "fuck" everywhere in your dialogue just makes your product look like something produced by a 12-year-old.
In my view, there are two main things to consider about the use of swears: the audience you are directing your game towards and your characters in the game. You certainly wouldn't use many cusses in games primarily directed towards a young audiences, and with character personalities, a sweet, little girl who grew up in a rich neighborhood is less likely to drop f-bombs than some prudent, streetwise male living in the slums of Detroit. I'm ultimately not against the use of it, you just have to do it right.

Argh, I haven't had the time to work a little more on my next demo. Regardless, I'll still be able to throw something out there, being it has minor differences.

What the fuck, guys? As far as I'm concerned Mitsuhide has a right to ignore your statements, as they are not only rude, but they barely offer any advice on how to improve his game.
Darken, there is a difference between being polite and being biased. You can criticize in a way that is perfectly honest, accurate, and to the point, while at the same time respecting the creator as a person.
Kef, as much as it is a little pathetic that he can't really write as well as what is expected for his age, keep in mind that writing is a skill. It's not necessarily age dependent, and for some it takes much more time to get better at it.
On topic... Yeah. Your story isn't written well at all. You could elaborate on how exactly Roy Wily detonated the bomb at the welcome center (In a train station would that be called a lounge or an information center? Do some research) without killing himself and his Maverick buddies in the process. I noticed that the "Mavericks" are pretty much Dr. Wily's old creations revived, why don't you tell us a bit about that? Regardless of how well the characters you are using are well-known, you should always explain who, what, where, when, why and how. "X and Zero are sent to remedy Roy's attack. X, being somewhat of the pacifist Maverick Hunter he is, attempts to reason with Roy." So wait, are they out of the train station? Why would Roy be at that same spot when not only did he destroy it, he could easily get caught by authorities by standing there? You need to use some logic.
I understand that you are trying to work on other aspects of your game, but storyline should be considered among your most important aspects of your game. The way a story works for games is that they tell the player what to do and why they are doing it. Why is Mario stomping on some turtles and evil mushrooms? Because he is trying to save a princess. If the story is poor, then there will be a lack of motivation to play your game. Not to mention when you are using a synopsis for a project description, and the writing is poor, it makes people think that your overall game is poor. Writing an excuse for your bad writing doesn't save you, either. Don't put up a piece of writing the first time you've written. Proofread your writing, and also get someone else to read it if you don't feel confident.
Upon looking at your screenshots, I can see this game is a clashfest. You need to pick one graphic style and stick with it, otherwise your game would be hard on people's eyes.
