I sense a history here...
lol. As I've said, I do visit quite a handful of RM sites. I'm even a moderator over at RPG RPG Revolution.
I think I know Rei from... somewhere. (rmxp.org?)

Legend of Soul Reaver (demo)
Master of the Wind 1 & 2
I can't really think of anything else, most of the games I've played aren't really complete or I simply forget to play them. :P

Dragon Hunter Review
Which version?
I use pretty much all three. Each maker tends to have something that distinguishes itself from the other, despite how makers like xp are supposed to be "upgraded" from the previous. When I want to make a game with a more low-res "classical" feel, I would turn to RM2k3. If I want high resolution, built-in vehicle systems, a few more options with the database editor and better script compatibility, I would go with RMVX. Anything else I would go with XP.
I tend to use RPG Maker XP the most out of them all, however.

The Importance of Planning
Planning helps you outline what you are doing to begin with. In my planning I typically ask myself what the game is about and how it's going to be played. That's were I start brainstorming and coming up with sketches and stuff.
Despite my process of planning, I end up revising and adding more stuff as I go along in the process of making games. The project I'm working on right now was originally intended to be short and on-the-side, but now I'm actually working to add more crap to it. :P
