Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays! This year I got a tiny katana letter opener and a pair of stretchy pants. How was your Holidays?

I made my parents some Christmas themed sculptures.

PS. I needed that tiny katana to fight tiny demons.

Holiday Idea for RMN

Every year the popular Youtubers, GameGrumps play random ass holiday themed games around December (Though this year they are doing random VR games mostly) Anyway, I was just thinking that since they seem to get many things fan requested to them, perhaps we could get them to play some RMN holiday games on the show. It's too late to try this year but its something to consider for next year.

I'm not sure exactly how they get requests for games, I think it might be through their Redit. But I could be wrong anyway, just a random idea.
And I figure if multiple people request them to play a holiday RMN game they would probably do it. But again this would have to be done next year since it's too late too do it this year.

Reinventing Every Mask from Zelda Majora's Mask

I plan to transform every mask from the game Majora's Mask using cultural references from around the world.
I've finished 3 already and I will update this post every time I make more.
Hope you enjoy! There are links to the images and Youtube videos.

Halloween Game

I was trying to challenge myself to make a game in a very short time frame, not just a game for this new contest but a Halloween game in time for the holiday. I haven't come close to finishing it though so perhaps it'll wait for next year's Halloween. Most of the gameplay mechanics have been figured out and implemented but almost none of the level design is done yet besides some general map layout and a few custom tileset graphics. I might post some screen shots of it later. Anyway just thought I'd share what I've been up to.

The gameplay involved switching between playing as a Vampire, a Witch, and a Mummy. And using their skills to traverse and defend youself.

[RMXP] Platformers?

I read about that new game contest and I might actually try to make a Halloween themed game in time. In fact I already started. At first I was actually trying to make a sorta top down platformer with RMXP but ultimately changed my mind and have moved to another idea. There is a jump command in the set move route options but I dont think it works well enough especially when the character is in motion. That said has anyone attempt a platformer with XP before? And if not how do you think would be the best way to attempt platforming with XP?

Cute Doots (owo)

This topic is for all things cutesy. You can share cute images and videos. You can type cute words, sayings, or poems that you make up or find. And even share music. Whatever its is as long as its adorable post it here.
A friend of mine makes lots of cute art and told me his goal for his art is to make people smile so that made me think of making this topic.

Here are links to some cute doots from various artists.

Remnants of Isolation LIVE STREAM

I want to try live streaming. For my first live stream attempt, I'm going to try to live stream Remnants of Isolation on September 4th 9:00PM Eastern Standard Time.

I will edit in a link on this post once I go live.

Hope it all works out. :D

EDIT - The stream is done. The video was choppy. I'll try to improve in the future. Thanks for checking out my first stream.

Red Mask's Artwork

I finally have some of my paintings online!

You can check it out in the video link and look at them on the Deviant Art page as well. I even got a shop on Redbubble now that makes stickers and other merch out of my paintings but I don't know if it'd be in bad taste to link to that so I won't. But anyway hopefully one day I'll be able to make a living off of my art. that'd be nice.

PS. The video actually talks more about my inspirations than my art because I'm trying to make educational videos.

My Artwork

EDIT: For some reason the URLs don't seem to be showing as clickable links. Not sure what's the deal with that. So I'll just type them out normally over here.

The Legend of the Mystical Ninja's fun way of showing Japan to the west.

The Legend of the Mystical Ninja for the SNES was one of the best games for the console in my opinion. It was such a chill game. It had plenty of fun variety in gameplay. And it was so very very Japanese which gave it a whole lot of charm. I don't get why more of the games didn't come out in the U.S. Are my fellow Americans really that disinterested in all the cultural stuff or did Konami simply assume that Americans wouldn't be into these games. I know Mystical Ninja uses its cultural imagery in a goofy sort of way but it still fascinated me when I was a kid and I was thinking the other day that maybe other games should be made like it with other cultures being represented.

I feel like Goemon should be a way more iconic character in gaming on level with Megaman or Kirby.

So I guess my question is 1 Would you like to see more Mystical Ninja (assuming Konami one day gets their shit together)? and 2 Do you think Mystical Ninja's use of cultural imagery would be suitable for other games that are about other cultures of the world?

Yeah I guess that's what I was getting at, I mostly just wanted to ramble about a fun game from the past lol.

[Poll] Metroid Prime 4 To Open World or Not to Open World that is the question

The new Zelda and Mario are Open World. Would you like the same for Metroid? Of the 3 franchises, Metroid is the only one that's not been an open world game. Zelda 1 was open. Mario 64 was open. But that said, Super Metroid had many intentional gameplay exploits like the wall jump that let players progress at their own pace making it pretty open to an extent. Linear games are great for story telling but to be honest, I don't play Metroid for in depth story. Plus, the most linear game in the Metroid franchise was Other M. That said I'm not asking you to choose between Other M and a new open world experience. What I want to know is if you want a more standard 3d Metroid Prime game or an open world type of Metroid Prime?
