Fun LGBT stories

Let's share some of our experiences.

I fondly remember being in the arms of my partner and telling him that "I feel like I can be more of myself around you and not have play out a silly gender role"

So that's my little share for the day what's yours?

P.S. Feel free to talk about the spicy details ;)
2nd P.S. In case anyone's curious I'm pansexual! Some of you already know that but I figured it's worth mention.

Please don't make this a place of arguments do that in the other topic. I mean you can if you want it's a free country but please don't. Now let's have some fun!

Just watched Avengers: Age of Ultron and it was just okay

SPOILER ALERT
Feel free to defend the movie but I feel like it could have use more character development.
I feel like I didn't get to really understand Ultrons motives enough.
We barely get an idea of why the Vision is helping the good guys.
The scene that's supposed to be the saddest moment : Quick Silver's death barely impacted me because again I didn't have time to get attached to those twins.
The movie has some interesting bits of character development but not enough.
Hawkeye felt like the most interesting character in the film. The others had their moments but it wasn't enough.
The final blows to Ultron was by Scarlett witch a character who's given a bit of back story but other than that eh. And then the real final blow from Vision who starts and interesting talk with his creator but it ends to quickly. I wanted to hear Vision and Ultron talk more with one another.
It was a fun film but I feel like it could have been better.

SquareEnix announces it's going to make JRPGs again.

It's about time.

They have a whole new team dedicated to making JRPGs the first game is tentatively called ProjectSetsuna. I hope it's awesome!

Hopefully in the years to come we will not only see new RPGs like Setsuna but also sequels to classics like Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Act Raisernot an RPG but still a Enix classic, Vagrant Story, Illusion of Gaia/Terranigma, and more

How is there not an E3 topic yet? Welp here you go.

So Mario Maker looks fun I'll probably give it a go.
Ryu is in Smash that's awesome.

I just saw a preview for a game called Beyond Eyes which seems to be about a blind girl on an adventure. So that's pretty unique. Unfortunately its on XBox, a system I have very little interest in.

E3 still in progress by the way
I could put the youtube link but its super easy to find so yeah.

Just rambling about African stuff

I was thinking about the various forms of African divination I've seen and read about. And just wanted to make note of it while it's still fresh on my mind.
Often times it's said to be used to gain insights on how to see problems and it certainly is that but I think a more elegant way of putting it is that: African diviner seek out the meaning in the our seemingly random world. I say this because every form of divination I've seen whether from Nigeria, Cameroon, Mali or elsewhere uses an element of randomness often of natural origin to lay out a sorta map which the diviner then interprets. One example is when the Dogon draw lines and dots in the sand and then completes his map by having a fox walk all over it. Only once the fox has made its marks can the diviner interpret it's meaning. The Bamileke toss special chips into a vessel which are scattered by a spider. And then the diviner finds meaning in how the spider scattered the chips. A similar type of divination thing happpens with a mouse oracle. And there are diviner who read the intestines of animals again providing something random for them to interpret. The Yoruban divination board does not use an animal (force of nature) but it still uses the element of randomness. Magic dice are tossed on the board and the way they fall creates meaning to the diviner.

For many African peoples there is no such thing as coincidence, nothing happens for no reason. All things that seem random in our life have a reason and meaning.

Anyway, I don't know if any of you bothered to read my little rambling here but I figured eh why not share my thoughts with others.

Edit: Maybe I'll share again sometime

Chill island games

I want to play an RPG maker game that's themed around a chill island or beach setting. Just super mellow like Mario Sunshine minus the Mario. Any one know a game like that?

Cultural Documentaries

I watch a lot of documentaries about world cultures and space.

What is one of your favorite cultural documentaries?

Here's one of my favorites, if you'd like to see.

My one issue with this video is that the host spends a lot of time looking for links between different areas but personally I prefer to just enjoy learning about the cultures on an individual level rather than trying to connect dots between cultures but despite that I still enjoy this video a lot.

Beautiful Written Languages from Around the World

Here are links to some beautiful languages.

http://www.omniglot.com/writing/mayan.htm
http://www.omniglot.com/writing/bamum.htm
http://www.omniglot.com/writing/lao.htm
http://www.omniglot.com/writing/sinhala.htm

Lao and Sinhala are my new favorites.

I've always been a fan of symbols and making my own. I actually have created 5 distinct alphabets myself. It's a weird hobby I've had since I was young. My first two alphabets was inspired by Japanese and Greek letters. The third had Arabic influences. The fourth was a combination of Mayan and Egytian styles. And my latest and most used one is inspired by a number of African scripts primarily Bamum.

Are there any types of scripts that you find amazing? Please share it.

I just made my game public but it's not showing up

Edit: Nevermind folks Unity already answered my question.

Animations based on Video Games

I found this today and wanted to share.
It's an animation of Ganondorf's childhood.
It reminds me of a fan fiction I wrote when I was in high school.

If you know of a cool video game related animation, feel free to share it.
