You're just gonna have to unequip it, I apparently was testing something and forgot to remove it. I am updating the download right now. Sorry about that. ><
If you'd like me to get rid of it though I surely can if you send me your save file. If you just download the 1.62 patch file it should stop it from appearing in new games.

Latest patch has been updated to 1.62.
-Fixed an issue where confused characters with multiple attacks would cause serious problems.
-Fixed an issue where the messages that display at the start of battle for Pre-emptive and Back Attacks would not disappear.
-Fixed an issue where the status ailment display when targeting party members would not update properly while in Active mode.
-Instant text will now automatically turn off at the start of the game's ending so that the automatic dialogue displays properly.

Bug Reports
By status icons do you mean the effects on the characters? Or in the status ailment window that shows when targeting a skill?

Because the small sprites represent Lalafells, which are a race of small people with proportions similar to the chibi sprites.

As far as the ending goes, I actually extended it and had people tell me it was too slow now, haha... do you have on instant text? That might be why, the wait time is from when all the text displays. I'll see about having it automatically turn off instant text when the ending sequence starts.
Yeah, that popup just doesn't close if the battle ends before it normally closes, I'm probably going to have to rewrite half the script myself to get it to actually stop, so it might be a while.
As for the last bug, I'm not sure what was happening there... did he have any sort of counter attack gear equipped? I think I know what might be happening, and if it's what I think it is I might just need to put immunity to confuse/charm on multi-hit weapons, because actually fixing it would probably be extremely difficult and would likely break something else.

He appears as a light like other hunts. If he's not appearing try entering then exiting an area and looking around again. Also, it's a lot easier to search using the airship as opposed to the black chocobo. A few people have had some trouble finding him so I will probably post screenshots of the locations in the FAQ later.

Ugh, I thought I fixed that several patches ago... I will have another look at it, I have had a hard time getting that to dispose properly.

-Fixed an issue where a plot event could be seen in Port Aquaria earlier than intended.
-Fixed another issue where a Game Over would be gotten if certain characters were KOed ad the start of an event.
-Fixed an issue where the spell "Waterja" could break the damage limit naturally.
-Fixed an issue where the spell "Demi" worked on bosses in the bonus dungeon.
