The internet is feared and often seen as lawless. These bills are just going to keep on coming, in one form or another.

What I have in mind (and will probably never complete) is a game where you can get lost in it's world, characters, and choices. For me, in the vast majority of RPGs I play, the battles never excite me. They're simply there. I have no issue with how battles are done, they're just never what I come back for.

I usually like games which have multiple endings or where I can see the consequences of my actions unfold. Possibly the most awkward I've ever felt about decision making was in the Mass Effect series, with the influence you can have over the Krogan genophage (not gonna post spoilers, don't worry)

Shenmue is still a really good example of a game I played simply because I loved the world and the interactions you can have there.

I was planning on picking up Ace, and I got a birthday and bonus pay due to me in May so will probably grab it then. Do we get any form of discount through this partnership you've struck up? What benefits do we get as a consumer (outside of supporting this community and site)?

Really been enjoying Avenging Spider-Man, picking up 4 tomorrow so we'll see how the second arc goes. X-Men has been fantastic post Schism - Wolverine's book is my favourite of the two, and, as always, I'm a bat-whore. Admittedly I've been reading a friend's copies of Batwing, and I've had little interest in Batwoman.

I've got to say, I agree with every word of this! Game making should be a very personal thing at the level we do it at. I think we can excuse a long development time, or slight inconsistencies in quality. Especially when we are not producing something we intend to charge people for.

I would like that level of fun and freedom to make a comeback. Great topic!
