Figured out which font it was by matching it to the text shown in one of the screenshots. Luckily, the font was distinct enough and seemed to be a horror-based font (like the game) which made the search for it easier.

The Abyss
The game's author only uploaded the rgssad file which contains the data and any graphics files, but does not include the .exe, .ini or audio files.
But since it's a very short game I decided to see if I could add an exe & ini file and play through it adding any missing audio files as I went along.
And since it only needed 2 mp3's to complete it, which I found with little difficulty...
I present to RMN a fully working copy of The Abyss:

I can only recommend playing it though if you're reeeaally curious or 'cause you want to hear the kickass song that plays during the intro.
It's not even an RPG; it's more of a mini-puzzle + mini quiz game. It'll take you 5 to 10 minutes tops.
(tl;dr: I didn't make the game, I just pieced together the missing files to make it playable & put it on Megaupload.
That and it's a real short game with a real nice song)

Vacant Sky Vol. 1: Contention
For Act I, right after selecting New Game at the title screen the game crashes and I get this:
"NoMethod Error occurred while running script.
undefined method 'increase_theta' for #<Tilemap 0x4737de8"
The Tilemap value changes each time I try to start it, but the rest of the error remains the same. This appears to be a script error that's unrelated to the fmodex.dll problem.
Only thing I could find searching the 'Net was that such an error is linked to Neo Mode 7 script. So, if you have that script in your game then that's probably what's wrong.

Some more research led me to realize that the theta value in the Mode 7 script pertains to control settings/values for your keyboard/gamepad. So, I checked my gamepad's Properties under Control Panel and spotted something peculiar: the properties window indicated that button 7 on my gamepad was being pressed down--guess my gamepad is getting old and that button's lost some of its spring. After jiggling it a bit, I restarted Vacant Sky Act I -- and this time no error! Seems the Mode 7 script or whatever script you're using is sensitive to what/how many buttons or keys are pressed down while the game is started.
(tl;dr = the script error resulted from a stuck button on my gamepad)

Thx, I was moreso hoping to get this one working anyway. I saw that it was supposed to only be up for a day and when I left clicked and nothing happened I gave up lol. Glad it will work now!
When I left-clicked, Firefox tried to load the zip file as if it were a web page, giving me a white page with "heiroglyphics", which I recognized was really a zip or rar file, because "heiroglyphics" is what Firefox shows if it tries to load an archive, music or video file as if it were a web page.

You have to download the attachment by right-clicking, then save as...
It will download as a .php file, but it's really a .zip file, so rename the extension to zip and you'll be able to unzip it.

Alcarys Complex
author=Ginseng_TeaTry unplugging your gamepad or joystick from your computer. I had the same problem and that was the cause; once it was unplugged I could use the keyboard to start the game by pressing 'C'.
EDIT: I cannot get past the title screen.
However, I couldn't get the command menu to pop up no matter what key I pressed, so I couldn't switch which party member was the lead member. I kept pressing A, S, D, and every other key and the command menu wouldn't show. If it's not supposed to be accessible until later in the game, then you should mention that in the manual, Pasty.
This game is intriguing though. I'm eagerly waiting for it's completion. I've got high expectations for this one.
