I for one wouldn't mind waiting longer for the 2D version of the game. But if that's how it is, that's how it is, I guess.

Pokemon game idea. What do you all think?
Everything you use that isn't made by you was made by another person.
So it's fine to use another persons work of they are doing it proffesionally (Final fantasy sprites, Disgaea sprites, pokemon sprites etc).
Just because that person isn't a proffesional you somehow have MORE respect for their work? Do you think the spriter in pokemon wants his/her sprites used without consent, just like the people making fakemon sprites doesn't?
Like I said, I don't care if people use other peoples material, but that argument makes no sense.
If you feel like using fakemon sprites, I don't see why that would make you feel any worse than using the original ones, if you care about this "respect for the author" thing.

There is something about that Naruto(?) avatar that just sets me off. I can't help it. I do think that caring about copyright at this point is bollocks, though. Either way, I would never download any pokemon game ever so I don't even know why I am in this thread. Good luck with the game. Oh god, I can't stop.

Also checked out your game and the styles are all over the place so I'm gonna guess you downloaded most of it, those were probably copyrighted too. So why bother caring about copyright now? Either way, you seem dead-set on using pokemon for some reason so go ahead and do it. I'm sure it'll be wonderful. Who am I to question your great vision?

So basically the reason you're making this game pokemon is because you're too lazy to sprite stuff yourself?
The story doesn't seem very pokemon-like, as LockeZ said. If I was a pokemon fan, I would probably be disappointed getting this game and then playing a completely unpokemony (that's a word now) game.
