Miserere
Thank you, seriously. These types of games are pretty unpopular except for in the eyes of a pretty niche audience, so I'm always happy when people say that they like the game.
I wish I could help you with the music, I really do. But the site I got most of it from closed down months ago. You could always copy the music from the game files though.

Is a main protagonist essential?
It's not entirely necessary but you're really making it harder for yourself if you go the other route. The main character is there so that we have someone to identify with and care about. If you don't have a main protagonist you better have a damn good story.
At least, that is how it is in my experience, if we are talking ordinary story-driven games.
Obviously, if you're making something like Pong, a main character is of little importance.

Nobody is going to comment on the fact that it looks bad with a low-pixel character in a irl photo?
Unless that's a thing during the whole game I would turn off the game if suddenly this happened.

Just friggin edit the outline already. It's done in 10 seconds. You are spending so much time defending your laziness when you could have just put that time on doing what was pointed out.
This is painful to watch.

Need composer
So I have started working on my next game, which is going to somewhat different from earlier ones. No horror or scary stuff. Somehwat realistic too, although as it is me making the game, there will probably be some weird stuff here and there.
For people unfamiliar with my games, I've had most success on this site with these games:
Miserere
Skinwalker
Anyway the reason I am posting this is because I’ve been having some trouble lately. The problem is the music. While I am able to make decent music myself, the amount of time I have to spend on this is just such a large chunk compared to other stuff. In short, I’m just not a very effiecient music composer.
So here’s the reason I’m posting: I need someone to help me with music. Obviously you’ll be credited and will have my eternal gratitude. I can’t really pay anything, seeing as I make no money from these games myself and I'm poor as a church rat.
Either way, the type of music is going to be somehwat calm, serene music mostly. Think typical game village music. Also, I’m not asking for a professional composer here, but I probably will have to say no to total amateurs too (meaning, someone who never ever made any music before).
Here is a example of what I am looking for:
Short tune
So again, here is what I am looking for: Someone that can compose original 30~ second tunes, mostly chill music.

Skinwalker Review
I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think there is a thriller or suspense tag. I agree that it would fit this game though.
I believe it fits into the pretty broad description of horror. And a couple of other not named ones (such as suspense). Anyway, back to making games.
