House of Horror

author=Fugue
this games seems very linear
That's because it is. It's a haunted house simulator. The one's I have been at in amusemement parks were all pretty linear. It's pretty short and there is no story to speak of, so I'm sure it won't be a problem.

All Hallows' Event

Decided to throw something together for this.
My game is going to be extremely short compared to some of the others it seems,
just a few minutes tops.
Gonna re-use a idea I had from one of my old not-complete games.
An amusement park haunted house, in game format.

If I can make a completed game with at least an hour of gameplay then I think I did awright for this contest. I'm more curious to see what everyone else comes up with as far as horror games go! Let's see some jumpscares!

There should be a reward for most jumpscares.

Siris' Inferno

Made a quick fix for the demo and uploaded it. Nothing major, just a thingie so you don't have to press the action key to change areas.

Edit: Fixed again.

Wow, this was surprisingly fast.

It's just a demo, not the complete game. Guess I should make that clear.

If it helps you any, you don't have to keep doing Miserere. There are already a bunch of let's plays for it, and I've gotten enough feedback on it. Obviously I'm still enjoying it, but I'd be fine if you stopped it. No hard feelings.

Miserere Review

I kinda like "exploration games", myself.

Are you familiar at all with the games Midden's pulls inspiration from such as... Panic!

But where are all the buttons (I'm joking)? You have nice taste in games though, 2 of the games you listed are on my top 5 games ever.

The size of the game has made it somewhat difficult to police passabilities so please PM me with any that you can name off-hand.

I'll tell you if I find some in 1.9.

Neat game, I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff.
However, I'd drop the emoticons. It makes it seem unprofessional.
Also, there are tons of passability errors, too many to list here.

Oh neat, two new Miserere.
Also, I would love to see more Tomba!
I used to play a demo of it alot back in the days of Playstation,
so it's kinda nostalgic seeing it again.

What makes a good adventure game?

@LockeZ: My knowledge may indeed be outdated, I don't play a lot of new games. That wasn't really the point of the thread though, so whatever.
It's true that most adventure games isn't only an adventure game these days. I guess it's a good thing the glory days of text-based (aka interactive fiction) games are over.

@GreatRedSpirit: Indeed.
