Deleted a map and now I can't play test. Help?

So I was working on a second map for my game. I decided to peek back at my first map in play test and it would only show me the new one I'd been working on most recently. Annoyed, I tried deleting the new map (after copying it) to see if that would help and then found that when testing the old one it would just give me an error message because it couldn't find the new map. THEN, when I repasted the new map it repeated the message and now I seem to be in a bind! Any suggestions?

Curious. Is this possible? Has anyone ever done it?

Hmm... do you think a similar idea could be pulled if it was converted to a turn-based system rather than real time?

More of an exact copy. Multiple units on the map, each representing a single individual party.

Would anyone know if a system similar to the Ogre Battle (not Tactics Ogre mind you!) has been done? Ie: you have units an overworld map and when they run into enemy they initiate a battle between that unit's party and the enemy unit's party?

Any reasons my NPCs can walk over a tree?

So I've been reworking a cutscene (based on you lovely suggestions) and I've run into a minor issue. I was decided to modify a tilest to include a better looking bridge. Everything else in the tileset remained the same; it's the plain ol' vanilla Mountain set from XP.

The problem I'm having is that when using the new tilset my NPCs can walk over trees as if they're a part of the ground. Is there a common reason for why might be happening? I could reposition the tree so that it's peak is out of their walking path, but I'd rather just get this working the way it is.

My first completed cutscene! Any feedback, suggestions?

@Edgy_Games.

No worries! I won't be posting them on here frequently. This was just my first and I was excited and wanted some outside input!

Where to find a sprite artist?

Just saw a similar topic in another forum. I apologize for the clutter! Someone with authority please nuke this topic.

Thanks all for the feedback.

I wasn't quite sure how to have the four bandits walk in from offscreen. Another user graciously sent me a scene they built to basically act as a tutorial on how to do this.

@LDanarkos. I had the wind sound effect going for some background noise. I wanted to keep the sequence it a bit somber and muted, but I can see how the lack of music might be problematic. I'll take a look around for something appropriate.

@LockeZ. I hadn't thought of that. They are throwaway characters so it isn't overly important that they be uber distinguishable, but you're right that it might be good just for the sake of easy narration.

@Shorstar. Lol. I was using the mountain tileset from XP and the bottom section of rope looked awkward. I hadn't even thought about the Sergeant being covered by the text box, though. Will have to rectify that!

@Felipe. RTP graphics? Forgive me I'm new at this.

My first cutscene! Thanks to everyone who helped me through the troubleshooting process, now I just wanted to see if anyone had any impressions on it! Anything I could do better? Any suggestions big or small on things I could do to improve it overall?

Apologies if the framerate's a bit choppy! The recorder I used isn't the top of the pile!
