What music is everyone listening to?
Games that nobody remember?
author=InfectionFiles
Battletanx looks fucking epic. <3
The story when you really think about it (gangs of men armed with tanks duking it out over women) is really silly, but it's fun in that same vein as The Road Warrior.
The game itself is still actually pretty entertaining. It's fairly standard vehicular combat but it's solid and featured a lot of fairly innovative features for -that era. Destructible environments, for instance, are an ever-presence. Albeit in a rudimentary form.
How do I get him where I want him to go.
Unless it's going to be a lot of trouble on your part, if I provided another pic that shows the positioning of the events could I ask for more information? Or in the least directions to a good tutorial? This is stuff I'm going to want to learn if I intend to continue with this so it might be good to push forward with it.
The lines around the tree mark the path of the squirrel and the boy. The square with the dot is where I want him to be when the control switch triggers.

That said, what music does everyone listen to? I've always loved me some good metal music and lately my tastes have drifted toward the more symphonic stuff. I went to go see Within Temptation in September with my wife and best friend and they were awesome.
My favorite band though is Iced Earth.
And my latest obsession is Turisas, a viking metal band out of Finland.
A bit more screamy then I usually go for, but they do a lot more actual singing on their second and third album.

A bit of a pickle here.
I am building a cutscene where one of the involved characters spends the first portion of the scene chasing a squirrel in circles around a tree. That was easy to set up. Later in the scene though I want this character to stop running in circles and walk up to another character. Since they're doing circles in repeat I can't predict where they'll be exactly when the Control Switch that triggers there next movement activates. About half of the time they're where I need them to be and they wind up roughly where I want them. The other 50% of the time though, they wind up in completely the wrong spot (as exhibited in the screenshot below).
I've tried using the "Move Toward Player" command to get them going in the right direction but it still isn't working the way I want it to.
Anyone have any ideas?

Transition assistance...
I am making the intro to my game. I have a cutscene set up that I want to transition into another map when it finishes. I've built the new map but now, when I playtest, it goes straight to the new map instead of running through the cutscene first.

Circumcision: Good or Bad?
author=tpasmall
I don't see how this topic is more controversial then politics. It's just penises. (never thought I'd have to pluralize that word, ha)
I almost feel like the plural should be penisii or something. Kind of like octopi?

Circumcision: Good or Bad?
I am a circumcised male...and I wish that I wasn't.
In the least I wish that it had been a decision for me to make for myself, rather than something that was forced upon me when I was an infant on account of religious beliefs or the social norm of my birth country (Canada).
And while I can see the point that many raise about sanitary issues, consider for a moment that while circumcision is the norm in North America there are parts of Europe where it is quite rare. I haven't read any articles lately about an epidemic of dirty slongs, have you?
More to the point, there are consequences. The portion of the penis that is cut off during circumcision is there for a reason: to lubricate for sex. Removing it makes sex less enjoyable, for some in a very tangible way. Point in case, my member is sometimes not very sensitive at all. Sex still feels great of course, but there have been times where I haven't been able to finish on account of my not feeling very much.
This is a comparison that's bound to incite some people, but think of it this way. We find the practice of female circumcision (the removal of the clitoris) to be horrific, and for good reason. It mutilates women and makes it difficult (and even impossible) for them to enjoy sex. What is the essential difference between that and male circumcision? You're still cutting off a piece of the penis. You're usually doing it to someone (a baby) that can't defend themselves. The only contrast is that male circumcision carries less dire consequences then female circumcision.
I am not saying they are the same thing. I am saying there are similarities at least, though. The biggest difference is that male circumcision is seen by more people as acceptable. In the least, I think it should be reserved as a choice for a man to make when they're older and able to to make their own decisions.
Yes, it's more painful then, but no one ever said choice was painless.
