Creating a Diablo-style loot system for a turn based rpg in RMVX is harder than I thought.
That's pretty neat! I'm working with Ruby right now, and I think I've got it pretty well figured out. I've got it so that it can generate approximately 200,000 different weapons based on the template, prefix, and weapon level, and I've only coded the prefixes for the second rarity tier. Working on coding in the last two tiers right now. I've submitted a game page for the proof of concept, so once that goes through I'll be able to show my progress, and I'm constantly working on it to make it even better. This is cool to see though, it's nice to see how other people have done something similar.

...but it's so much fun, and I'm loving how it's turning out so far. Once I get the systems nailed down and I have at least a basic proof of concept, I'll create a project page. Gonna do something with this, just not sure what yet.
Bloodstained Hands v5.9.8!
The game files have been updated with the aforementioned bug fix. That extra status ailment should no longer appear in the monster log. I also did some quick modifications to the rewards for the special match in the Sapphane Arena for New Game Plus, adding a unique consumable reward to make it worth the effort. It's still probably the most challenging part of the game, but now the rewards reflect that. Anyway, the game can be updated by downloading the new version and moving the save files over. I discovered a small bug in the monster log book. It's not game breaking or anything, but there's an additional status ailment listed for each enemy in their resistances under the gallery mode. It shouldn't be there, and it may lead to some readability issues for monsters that resist a lot of ailments, but otherwise doesn't affect gameplay. I'll release a patched version within the next 24 hours, but it'll still be listed as v5.9.8. Thanks for your patience.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the last five episodes are finally available! After a brief hiatus surrounding some computer issues, KingKobora is back, and has managed to release the last five episodes in just one week! These episodes pretty much cover exactly what I said in my last comment. It's possible that KingKobora will make another episodes detailing a hidden alternate ending, based on what he says at the end of the finale, but I won't hold him to that. I'm just glad he went through the effort and the trouble of doing a full let's play of this game! Thanks so much KingKobora, and I wish you luck with your channel and your future streams!

One Hour
Lol, yeah I'm kind of done with this game. It served its purpose. It was never meant to be a full project. It was born out of a desire to implement some new systems and try my hand at some new concepts. Honestly, the "story" such as it is was an afterthought. As a result, the narrative part of the game is pretty weak, and I'm okay with that. It was meant to be a basic puzzle game with some unique mechanics and systems. Glad you enjoyed what was there though!
