RMN's Australian Christmas
Frogge, if by some chance you got me for the Secret Santa, the release this would be literally the best gift ever. No pressure. Hugs.
What can and can't I put in my locker?
Darn. My hardcore one-legged gnome meme porn will have to stay in my Dropbox. I mean, yes. I can use my locker to host my RMVX Blackjack tutorial. I'll put up a topic on Sunday. Thanks all!
What can and can't I put in my locker?
For example, if I had a sample project with an eventing and scripting tutorial and it was within the file size limitations, would that be okay to upload there? So far I've only used it for images in blogs and I think a couple of songs. Is there a restriction to what we can upload?
Ugh
What constitutes a game being marked as "buzzing" on the homepage?
I mean, both Bloodstained Hands and One Hour got buzzing for a day yesterday, and from what I can tell they both only got downloaded once, maybe twice? No comments, so downloads seem to weigh pretty heavily, and your game has over 5k downloads.
Secret Santa 2023 ::
Feels like it's been a rough year for a lot of people. I know it has been for me. Maybe a lot of people are just not looking to take on any additional stress right now?
Secret Santa 2023 ::
I really want to join, but I'm kind of scared to. I don't know if what I could provide would be a good enough gift, and I'm worried that people who get me would be disappointed since maybe I'm not well known enough? I'm just self conscious I guess.
EDIT: You know what, no. I'm doing this. I need to get out more and connect with people, it would be good to do something for someone other than myself. I guess that means I should list some preferences, yeah?
I guess I'm really fine with anything honestly. If I had to say what I'd be most happy with, I dunno. Fan Art of like a character from one of my games would be really awesome. A review would be cool too. Other than that, it really doesn't matter, I kind of just want to do this to participate.

Hey. So, don't ask for advice or feedback if you're just going to ignore it and argue.
No, it's actually something unrelated. Not gonna call anyone out, but essentially I was asked to review a commercial game. I tried to keep things as constructive as possible, but my main point of feedback was "hey, you probably shouldn't be selling this if you don't own the rights to these things" among other points, and the response was mostly just defensive. Not anyone here (to my knowledge), but it was irritating to say the least.
The Featured Game Thread
Ideally not something nominated for this year's MISAO's. Other than that, I don't have any huge suggestions this time around. There's still quite a few classics that have never seen the spotlight. Like maybe A Blurred Line, or Seraphic Blue?
[RM2K3] [RM2K] Liability. :o
I've personally always been of the mindset that if you don't legally have the rights to sell what is in your game or you don't have commercial licenses for the resources, it's not worth the risk. I'm also aware that most creators of those resources have better things to do than come after an indie game dev who's maybe making a couple bucks, and that the need for commercial licenses is more to protect against larger entities from using those assets without permission. Can you sell it? I mean, you could probably get away with it. Should you? My vote is no, personally, unless you have commercial usage rights. That's also not considering the commercial value of the product you yourself are creating, and the salable potential of it vs your desire to reach as wide an audience as possible.
That's just me though. Heck, I ain't yo boss.
